trimster
I want to move switches around on the dash. How does one pop out the dash piece(s) that hold the switches? Parrformance
Plenty of wire available, dash comes apart very straightforward. Remove the faux wood trim remove the torx screws and pull forward. If I recall most of the plugs were labeled. I moved all the switches closer to the steering wheel, and placed the 7 inch monitor in the space to the right, just like everyone else has. Might have taken an hour start to finish. Jaydrvr
Which generation? Mine is first gen and you remove the ashtray to access the screws behind, then carefully pop out the trim panel to the right of the steering wheel, which gives access to all the trim screws in that set of panels. SuiteSuccess
If you’re talking about the whole section to the left of my duct they just have plastic clips so access by directions of Parrformance. If you’re talking about the little black inserts where the switches go ...same thing, they are just clipped in. Push from front carefully (easy to break the tabs.). As to the faux wood trim below, start from the right with a flat head screw driver and gently pry. It is spring clipped in. DON’T start from left as it has a “hook” on that end that easily breaks off. You’ll see as you work from right to left. Switches themselves will just clip into the panel so you can arrange any way you wish. Have a beer or two after you have the faux trim removed. Parrformance
If you have a porta John in the cabinet behind the drivers seat, as I do you can have as many beers as you can drink in an hour. Be careful when climbing out of the truck though, go out the door where the grass is. trimster
Switches moved. The air hitch adjuster switch will just hide inside the dash for now.. Monitor velcro'd in place. No beers were harmed during installation. I damaged a few home brew ciders, however. Now to run the 4 camera cables. That should be right up there on the fun meter.
