I don't believe any campground or RV park system can be held solely responsible for the availability of spaces right now. Emergency regulations vary from state to state and even from county to county in some states. We were in Florida during the strictest of their lockdown. Thousand Trails waved the days out requirement and allowed all onsite members to stay the entire month of April. We ended up staying just shy of six weeks at no additional cost above that of our Zone Pass. KOAs in North Carolina cancelled our reservations. A Passport America park in South Carolina we have stayed at many times was not taking any transient guests. A Thousand Trails Park in Accomac County, VA cancelled our reservation due to county regulations while we were able to stay at other Thousand Trails Parks in other counties in Virginia. Good Sam is a market group that gives a 10% discount at member parks. Coast to Coast and RPI are associations much like TT. Escapees RV Club is a full service organization for RV travel which supplies many services from mail forwarding to RV parks, to a magazine and much more. trailertraveler Posted May 31, 2020 Report Share Posted May 31, 2020 (edited) It has always been my understanding that Coast to Coast and Resort Properties International (RPI) require that one have a membership in a home park that participates in their system(s). Thousand Trails has no such requirement, but does have multiple types of memberships with varying rules. Happy Camper and Passport America provide up to 50% discounts on camping fees. Escapees members are also given 50% discounts at some parks participating in their camping discount program. There are often restrictions on the number of nights and time of year that the 50% discount can be received. Many of the participating parks are the same, but there are some differences. The restrictions are usually the same for a single park if they participate in more than one discount program. The membership in the Family Motor Coach Association gives discounts at member RV Parks, and discount memberships to KOA and Passport America. They also offer discounts on a number of other services and products from participating companies. Membership is no longer restricted to owners of motorized RVs so owners of towables can now join. A Good Sam membership gives discounts at participating parks, Camping World, Gander Mountain and Overtons. There is a fuel discount program in cooperation with Pilot/Flying J.
