mkvacik
I have done some searching and reading, and remember reading quite a bit on this in the past. My wife handles all of the paperwork details, and she wants a detailed list from me on what to round up. Insurance Card for the truck and the Jeep Title and registration receipt for the truck Title and registration receipt for the trailer Title and registration receipt for the Jeep Anyone offer more suggestions for necessary items, or "its a good idea"? Is there something that I could have searched rather than "binder" within the recourse guide to give me links to items specific to SD personal truck laws that should be in there? DJohns
I carry a copy of the state statute that defines what my truck is required to have in order to be registered as a motorhome. I carry a copy of the CDL drivers license book that specifically show I am exempt from a CDL. In that book I have all copies of work done to the truck. 2002 Beaver Marquis Emerald C-12 Cat 505 HP 2014 Volvo 630 D-13 I Shift SOLD 2017 New Horizons SOLD
Bill and Judy LeMosy
We included the following info in our book: I. Trailer Info V. Smart Info VI. SD code section showing commercial exemption (check the HDT resource guide) VII. SD CDL Brochure and Manual (same as above) VIII. Truck and trailer Weight Sheet IX. Work Orders since we purchased We also include photos of our rig parked in various parks around the country to show that we really do use our rig for private purposes and not commercial. I'm not sure if it's all really necessary or if we missed anything but it's what we do now. Jemstone
Many thanks Bill and Judy for the binder contents list. I had not thought of the weight sheet and work orders. I have taken off the sign saying the truck is not commercial, as the lack of an axel and wheels and the flat bed say "non-commercial" better than a sign. Where do you keep the binder?
