CHIEFWAHO
Help me source side windows for our sleeper - 1999 Volvo VNL 610 Would like something that slides or hinges/tilt open. Iv'e reviewed this: http://hhrvresource.com/node/186 First truck looks like they used Volvo lower windows and trim. But I do not see any mention of what windows and trim they used on the second. I wouldn't mind the larger window as shown here: http://rjnatter.tripod.com/id2.html Once again no mention of window and trim used? I don't have a problem relocating supports as shown on driver sidewall. But not sure what to do on the passenger side is there is a vent duct running up the wall. It is mentioned on last picture of duct relocation but I don't really follow what has been done. I called about these Volvo uppers but they will not include any interior trim. Guess the interior trim piece is large and runs from window to headliner so they keep it with the sleep/cab. https://www.vanderhaags.com/detailview.php?part=24530252 Also called about these Volvo lower windows from a 2003. Can someone explain how these windows install. The guy at Vander Haags says the only way to get the frame work I'd need would for them to sawzall it out the side of the sleeper. Is that correct????? This thread shows how to repair these windows when they become loose. http://hhrvresource.com/node/180 There are a couple of pictures but I just can't tell how the windows mount. https://www.vanderhaags.com/detailview.php?part=24510940 https://www.vanderhaags.com/detailview.php?part=24510941 1999 Volvo VNL610, Cummins M11 - 350/400 HP, 10 speed Rockwell - 'CHIEF' Custom flatbed with TrailerSaver air hitch. 3 cyl 8000 watt Kubota diesel generator. lockmup68
off topic, see you are in Kansas, you know Jake Good? Bronco buddy of mine. on-topic: I'm in same boat for windows for the International. From what I can tell, any RV window would work, just cut a hole window pops on from outside, and you use the provided hardware to attach the smash mount from the inside. The framing just needs to be consistent. Trim pieces are hit and miss and have to be adapted. 2003 International Eagle 9200i, Cummins ISX, Freedomline 2007 Teton Scottsdale XT4

Jeff.Sloan
I used sleeper windows from a F-liner turned 90 degrees. Should be in HHRV, if not ping me. They do have an inside trim. I put FL Columbia sleeper windows on my 630, but they leak. The fixed slider portion has holes on the sides to hold the slider window open. Once the window is rotated 90 degrees these holes become leak points into the window frame. I silicon'd mine and cut new drain holes in the outer channel, but it still seeps in heavy rains. I was thinking about having custom windows made so they won't leak any more . . . 2004 Volvo 630, Cummins ISX, Eaton 10 speed (air assist clutch), 3.71 3.07 rear locker, ET jr, 200" WB, GearMaster 2017 Forest River Sierra 372LOK Full time June 2017 DW, 2 kids, and 2 dogs

Don't know what to say, but mine don't leak. Maybe a factor is that I put smoke-colored rain deflectors above them. I seem to remember they were for the back door windows on a 4 door pickup. Then both front & back edges turn down, not like a front. CHIEFWAHO
Been slow going! After lots of measuring and thinking. We determined our window would fit in between the horizontal supports. The side Volvo vent windows were removed. Next the we cut the bottom and top vent window frame work to lay down out cut lines for the new windows. The lower had spot welds that were drilled out. Upper area was cut. Made this handy tool to cut thru the panel adhesive. Little damage to my fingers, should of had gloves on. Band aids and a little electric tape. 1999 Volvo VNL610, Cummins M11 - 350/400 HP, 10 speed Rockwell - 'CHIEF' Custom flatbed with TrailerSaver air hitch. 3 cyl 8000 watt Kubota diesel generator. CHIEFWAHO
Ready for window final install. These were originally vertical windows so some new drain holes were drilled on the now bottom side. Still have a lot of interior trim cutting and fitting to do. Hope to get it all buttoned up this weekend. 1999 Volvo VNL610, Cummins M11 - 350/400 HP, 10 speed Rockwell - 'CHIEF' Custom flatbed with TrailerSaver air hitch. 3 cyl 8000 watt Kubota diesel generator. CHIEFWAHO
Getting closer! Made some clips to help keep interior panel in place and secure the window trim. Moving the rear air control panel Coming together nicely, also mounted controls for the new back wall heat/ac unit. Started on the passenger side. We are also adding a factory upper cabinet to house the microwave. Plan to put a 110v receptical box and a cord off it for a place for a microwave to get power. Had to revised the trucks rear air duct work. 1999 Volvo VNL610, Cummins M11 - 350/400 HP, 10 speed Rockwell - 'CHIEF' Custom flatbed with TrailerSaver air hitch. 3 cyl 8000 watt Kubota diesel generator. CHIEFWAHO
FYI, when you go to remove the front seat belts. Be sure to clip the belts so they can not retract. We are learning the hard way. We let them fully retract and can not get them to release. Have google searched for fixes but so far none have worked. Hope we don't end up having to buy replacements. 1999 Volvo VNL610, Cummins M11 - 350/400 HP, 10 speed Rockwell - 'CHIEF' Custom flatbed with TrailerSaver air hitch. 3 cyl 8000 watt Kubota diesel generator.
