It would depend on how well you know and trust the seller and the quality of the homework you have done in all areas of the purchase. From reading you post I would not purchase sight unseen and not knowing the seller.

Have all who are posting here been to the Lippert factory in Elkhart and took the informative tour. What we observed is that a lot of the welding is done by machine no human involved We actually did not have frame flex that is a broken weld or frame on our two Lippert frames. We did have the side wall separation from the aluminum frame that looks a lot like frame flex .We have seen actual broken lippert frames but do not know what stress caused them. " (I have a Hensley Trailer Saver and morRyde’s Independent Suspension) they will l go a LONG way toward making a trailer frame live a long and healthy life ... a fully articulating head on hitch is a must." We have all of this. Lippperts does state that t hey build frames to the manufacturers specs.I do not think they would build a frame that did not meet all safety specs. That would be very bad for business. We just state our experience with Lippert and any other manufacturer when posting.

Motorhome /5th wheel defends on your travel mode .I prefer a MH as IMO they are easier to drive, park, etc as I drove OTR charter bus for awhile. We have never had a MH as our mode of travel is more geared to a 5th wheel. We have no problem with campgrounds.

Insurance for permanently parked trailer
richfaa replied to funmom's topic in General RV Information
We are in Florida suggest you see an agent that sells Insurance in Florida . I tried to pull out a RV here that had been sitting for years .I thought it would come apart had to have a tow truck do it. Florida insurance is "different" -
You are correct like I said "Yes you can do it and we have done it. It is a matter of managing your power usage."

Being on 30 amps for a long period would impact our lifestyle and we avoid it if at all possible. You can use 30 amps max on 30 amp service vs 100 amps max on 50 amp service(two legs of 50 amps).Yes you can do it and we have done it. It is a matter of managing your power usage.

We saw that launch from our lot in Florida. We have seen several launches over the years including several shuttle launches at the space center. Everyone is awesome.

Best BANKING institutions for nation-wide Travelers
richfaa replied to KyDustBunny's topic in General RV Information
We just use our local bank in our hometown. We do all our banking and bill paying on line so we have little use for a physical bank. Cash is easy to get most anywhere. -

richfaa replied to GroundHog's topic in Sharing the Fulltime Lifestyle
Our indicator for leaving Northern Ohio for the winter when we do is the weather forecast and the weather history . -

When in tow and in travel we look for convivence in fueling such as easy in , easy out and RV friendly . We primarily use FJ/Pilot with the RV plus card. We are truck and 5th wheel 54 feet long so we need some room to fuel. We have never had a issue with FJ/Pilot and many of them have restaurants at a fair price. if needed.

Anyone use Reverse Mortgage/HECM For Purchase of your RV?
richfaa replied to cheryljor's topic in Beginning RVing
We have had a Home Equity Loan for many years. We use it when we need it. The interest rates are low and $$ can be available in seconds. -
Thor is all over that list.

We purchased the largest 5th wheel we could afford. It was a new 06 3400 Montana. We now have a 2013 3402 Montana same conditions apply. We decided against full timing but are long timers. We have logged over 150K miles since 2006 but are now slowing down. We now winter in Florida. We had the usual issues with the 5th wheel but Keystone treated us fairly while under warranty and we purchased a ESP plan that as worked well for us over the years. We have not had any what we would consider major issues over the years. We are now considering a park model or single wide for our Florida property We also keep ourselves in moderate climates year round so no problem with to hot or to cold
-
Here is your first one .I have appositive opinion of Keystone. We have had two Montana's by Keystone both had some issues that were handled by Keystone or our dealer with not a problem.
-
We do not have a problem with out Norcold double door RV fridg. We did have a cooling unit fail and replaced it with the Quality Amish unit. We had to pay the difference between the OEM unit and the Amish unit our ESP paid the OEM replacement price. We are long timers and have never had a issue with thawing while in travel. The fridge is on all the time except for defrosting and cleaning.

Well we have a annual routine medical checkup every year and have for decades. We will continue to do so, others can continue to do whatever they wish. There are many occupations that require annual checkups .

Interesting.....

We never use auto pay on anything.

We have two propane tanks that changeover when one is empty and a red indicator shows which one is empty. We use our eyes to check which one is empty .After years of RV'ing we kind of have a feel for when we should look. This system has been flawless for many years.
