  1. Other peoples experiences have nothing to do with yours. It is not normal to ask for a security deposit before running a credit check. They will usually charge you for the cost of a credit check as part of the closing on the purchase of the RV.
  2. The worst experience have ever had was the purchase of a RV lot in Florida,
  3. TST is at about every RV show. We purchased ours at the Tampa RV show. I would look at Amazon for pricing.
  4. We have not had any problem with any of this. I have not smoked since 1980 but have done most everything else. Both medicare and our supplement have paid every bill submitted to them. We have our prescriptions filled at WAlmart both at home and on the road without a single problem
  5. Yes we have been seeing the same physician for many years and he knows our history well. We do chat during the visit and I always give him my ...list of complaints. I am fortunate to this point of not having any serious medical problems,Heart attacks, strokes , etc. We have in the last 14 years seen Doctors outside of our local area mainly Florida and do not recall being asked these questions. We have filled out that long 4 or 5 question sheet and perhaps the questions are on that but I do not recall. A question about guns would have got my interest and I do not recall being asked that question/
  6. Strange we have never been asked these questions.
  7. We have never been asked about guns by anyone in the medical profession anywhere.
  8. That is exactly our situation. We just never knew of anything else.
  9. It was our understanding that medicare was always primary.
  10. heat broke to day in Northern Ohio but not the rain.69 degrees this morning
  11. Northern Ohio is unbearable add to that Lake Erie is FULL and over flowing due to the heavy rains.
  12. Restricted drugs are a huge problem for those of us who Rv all over the country. Wife and I do not use restricted drugs. We use primarily wall mart for filling prescriptions as they are all over the country. We have a S&B and a domicile and our local Dr's write us 90 day prescription with 3 refills . We have never had a problem in our 14 years of being longtimers. The cost of prescription drugs are a equally huge problem. We have a very good health plan and our prescription are affordable. It would be a huge expense if not for our health plan.
  13. Fl-Joe DIDN'T mention the word Construction workers folks here on the forum put those words in his mouth for Whatever reason. He said "Full time local workers" He also did not say he did not like them nor inferred it.His OP was accurate and we have observed pretty much the same thing over the years. A CG of Full time local workers here in Central Florida would most likely apply to folks who pick citrus.
  14. Are NFPA standards mandatory? In most cases, compliance with NFPA standards is voluntary. However, in some cases, federal or state Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) agencies have incorporated wording from NFPA standards into regulations. In these cases, complying with the standards is mandatory. Can you post for the education of all the standards that are mandatory and those that are not.
  15. Those that are full timers or high end users and have not seen or stayed in a CG like Fl-Joe describes is a mystery to me.
  16. If one does the research it may be determined that the only reason that there is not a lock on the propane doors is so..... they can be turned off if need be like going through a tunnel or fueling and there are regulations to that effect. One can do most Anything they wish to prevent against theft as long as the ability to turn off the tank is not affected. We do nothing and never have.
  17. If the OP folks are referring is Fl-Joe he did not mention construction workers how does anyone get Construction workers out of "full time local workers. " As we posted on this thread we have been in these campgrounds more than once they are out there and there is nothing wrong with them or the folks that live in them.
  18. We have run into these folks that follow the work many times in our 14 years of travel. We have a friend that is a heavy equipment operator that has been doing that for a long time. . We have had some very good times camping with these folks. IMO however they are looked down upon in the RV community.
  19. We are not against having a drink as we do but IMO there is way to much drinking among the older retired folks The bar at our complex is well attended. We are in a very large complex and a golf cart of some other mode of transportation is a must as many have physical issues that would make it impossible to get around if not for a alternate mode of transportation. The complex also has many organized exercise programs that are well attended. We old folks can't do what we did 10/20/30 years ago but we do the best we can.
  20. I may pretty sure that you would have to be full time cast members for both of those roles. I had a friend that worked at the HOP that went to being a fairy Godmother and she loved it. I drove a bus all kinds after we retired and while waiting for Helen to retire. We had all the qualifications for a WDW bus driver but it was a full time position and that was not going to happen
  21. I was at the Hall of presidents, Liberty Square, Magic Kingdom.Helen also in the magic Kingdom food service and worked at I think every restaurant in the MK. Disney Springs is also a great place to eat and have been to most all of them over the years. My favorite is the Earl of Sandwich. We both enjoyed working at WDW mostly because we did not have to work there. The perks were great and what small salary we made added to our travel account. I enjoyed meeting and talking to people from all over the word at the HOP. The perks included discounts at restaurants including Disney Springs your WDW ID card was good for 10/20 % at many restaurants. My general reply is that I enjoyed working at Disney.I did not enjoy working for Disney.
  22. You might want t o read the entire article .
  23. Some of the very best restaurants are in EPCOT in the international village. WE both worked at WDW as winter casuals for a few years and received huge discounts at these restaurants so we have been to everyone of them . We no longer work at WDW and can no longer afford to eat there but we been there done that.
