    Texas

That sounds to me like a potential source of a wildfire.
  2. Mac was a good guy who cared about our safety. He will be missed. Linda Sand
  3. I just wondered about this. Our country has a trash/recycling center. Your vehicle is weighed as you arrive and then again as you leave to determine your charge. I wonder if they would weigh if you weren't dropping off a load? Of course, if you are in the process of cleaning out your house preparing to go full time, you may well have a load. Linda
  4. We once weighed at a place that sells gravel and concrete blocks. They did charge but not a lot. Linda
  5. My parents and grandparent were landlords for years but I never asked them how they made that work. My grandparents converted their house into a duplex and rented the upstairs to groups of young, working women. The also converted their huge garage into a two-bedroom house and rented that. So they always lived on the premises where their rental units were. My Dad simply kept the first house he bought when we moved to a larger house but I didn't know that as a child so I don't know how he managed it. But, I never got the impression either of them had any problems. But, we all know life was different back in the 1950s. Linda
  6. Uffda! I never wanted to be a landlord and this is another reason why. Linda
  7. Always keep your phone charged and your GPS up to date.
  8. Coach Net also has a reputation for prompt payment which tow services prefer.
  9. A mother saw her daughter about to do something dangerous so she yelled at her, "Alexa, stop!" And the music quit playing.
  10. We had Coach Net but never had to use them for the RV itself. They did send someone out to jump our toad when we killed its battery. Linda Sand
  11. Thanks for the update. I hope all goes well at your next appointment. Linda
  12. I hated the absorption style fridge's need to always be level. But what you want has nothing to do with RV or residential--the difference is absorption vs. compressor. Kind of like the difference between residence and domicile. I would go compressor again every time. Linda
  13. I read these to my husband only to look up and see him sticking his tongue out. We both laughed. Linda
  14. When we were domiciled in SD that was our policy--only vote on federal issues unless it was something that would affect the RVing community. Linda
  15. Since I discovered BookBub I rarely pay for books anymore. The Kindle Read for Free app pays the authors for the number of pages I read and I read a LOT! Linda
  16. I think all of us who have been married many years could say that. We're coming up on 57 years and it's not all been ups; we've had our share of downs. But, we have had the best of it and continue to do so. We laugh together every day and what could be better than that? Linda

    Hail no!

Yes, please. We care about how this turns out. Linda
  18. I special ordered my final van. I found a suspension system designed for vehicles that carry their loads high. They specifically mentioned RVs in their examples. That was the best driving of the three Sprinters we owned--the other two being brand name RVs. Linda
  19. My error. I thought 19QTH stood for 19', queen bed, toy hauler. Linda
  20. More than once we used a fan as a white noise machine in a motel. That worked well. Linda
  21. If 19' is too long, I doubt you will ever find anything that works for you. But, now that I think of it, you never said it needed living quarters. I would think it would be easy to find a shorter toy hauler if it didn't need living quarters. Linda
  22. I so relate to that. I found myself designing another Class B yesterday yet have not driven anything for about 10 years now. Dave is so quick to offer to drive me I don't even know if I still can. Linda
  23. We can all tell you what we have done but many of us are not particularly current. The place to get the most current information is https://www.rvmobileinternet.com. This RVing couple evaluates all the gadgets then recommends what works best. They've been doing this for years and are trustworthy. Linda Sand
  24. The weight and low clearance.
