We kept the doctors we had even though we moved our domicile out of state. We just went back once year to do physicals--otherwise our PPO offered coverage everywhere we tried to use it. Our bank, USAA, was never in our home state so there was nothing to do there. We didn't have an accountant but accounting regulations within the state are probably the same in both locations; I'd check that out to be sure, though. You may get by with just changing your address on accounts but the bank could be a problem depending on how well they process the guidelines for the Patriot Act. Linda

Cast iron works well on an induction burner. Since most people simply wipe out a cast iron skillet with paper towels instead of washing it, this is good for boondockers. Yes an induction burner requires electricity but since they use energy efficiently most boondockers have enough solar panels for that to not be a problem. Linda

I do something similar when attending an event where I will spend cash--like the Big Tent in Q. I put one dollar bills folded in half in my right pocket with five dollar bills folded in 4ths in that same pocket then do the same with ten and twenty dollar bills in the other pocket. I can alway retrieve just what I need without exposing what else I have. Linda

I carried enough to pay for sites having an iron ranger instead of people. Those like BLM and CoE sites which I enjoyed. I did carry it in various places so I wouldn't lose it all if robbed--never happened, of course. I never used an ATM while RVing--just used my debit card when buying groceries at Walmart so I could get extra cash from them. Linda Sand

There must be two people in the room and only one of them is free--the other must pay. Even the free one has to pay fees and taxes. So, not quite free. But still a good deal if you are interested. Linda ps. forgot to say it applies to LEOs and teachers who qualify as well.

I don't peel baked potatoes but I rarely eat the skin. I do not like skins in mashed potatoes. True baby carrots taste differently from those that are tumbled to look like baby carrots. I don't peel cucumbers. Linda

Borderline pressure numbers with drops but vision field is not getting worse so settling for that. Linda

I also have drops to keep my eye pressure down somewhat. When I had my cataract surgery the pressure shot up for one day but short-term special drops brought it back down. The next glaucoma test showed no significant change. Linda

One of my friends is in a park where you have to move every few months but you don't have to actually leave the park. So they just move to a different site for the required time then right back into their preferred site again. That does keep out RVs so derelict that can no longer move. And it keeps the park designated as temporary housing instead of permanent which has lots of implications for the owner. Linda

Obviously, I 'm wrong. Maybe the real reason my Dad's address changed was that they had to pick up the house and move it back into the former picnic area because a new highway was built too close to their house for it to stay there. So, they actually built a long driveway to his house that now has a couple other houses on it. So, maybe they gave that long driveway a name and called it a street--although they named it Nell Drive? I thought all rural route addresses went away with the beginning of the 911 system. I know my Dad's address changed after about 50 years of living there and he gave me the 911 system as the reason why. It's no longer RR 8 Box 412. Linda

Winter Weather Advisory here in MSP today and tomorrow. We may get as much as 6" of snow over the next two days. But the cold, and the wind, are what's keeping us all inside. The event Dave was scheduled to attend this evening has been cancelled--mostly because there's no on-street parking there if it snows. Linda

Actually, I do that. I just didn't want to use the huge cutting board to slice grape tomatoes for a salad. Then I wished I did. Linda

My biggest plastic cutting board has a gutter around the edge on one side but not the other. The gutter side is for cutting meat. Everything else uses the other side. I used one of the smaller ones yesterday to slice tomatoes; it does not have a gutter and I wish it did--tomatoes are juicy. Linda Sand

I never heard of it either. Does it make a difference what material your cutting board is made of?

When my niece was a toddler her parents took her canoeing in the Boundary Waters, now Voyagers National Park. Karen would dip her fingers in the water as they paddled. Then suck her fingers. She got Giardia which is not something you want your toddler to have on a canoe trip. Those are some BIG lakes up there but not enough to keep the poop dilated to where it is not risky. Linda

Our city water has enough minerals in it to leave a residue where it dries. That does not tend to dissolve when wet again. I can't take a Magic Eraser to the inside of a tank. So keeping a tank wet and moving is better with our water. That's why I rarely hooked up to outside water, even when it was available, except to refill the tank when I had used about half its water. I did hook up to water for daily use one time when a neighbor complained about the sound of my water pump but that's it. I made it. point to not camp so close to a neighbor after that. Linda Sand

While I kind of like that idea I wouldn't want the results coming back at me through the courts. I had a small, collapsible cone deliberately run over while I watched. I was so shocked, I didn't get the vehicle description. Um, light colored car is not much to go on. Linda

Maybe they are simply telling you that it is safe to continue driving the normal limit for this section. That would make it easier to relax while driving it. Linda

The Deaconess at our church listened as her son was told by another kid that there is no Santa Claus and no Easter Bunny. He turned to her and said, "Did you lie to me about God, too?" That's the year I asked our daughter if she wanted to help me be Santa Claus for her dad. Linda
