  1. Do they inspect it? I'm in Nebraska. They just asked me if I had this and that etc. and I said yes to enough things they gave me a mobile home plate. Then I had to go do all the stuff I said I did.
  2. It's good to know Onan uses the same engine. Onan diesel generators are roughly twice the price. The Kubota generator has its own fuel tank. So, I have the flexibility to use it when we travel then take it off truck and use it around the farm. Technically the Farm will be buying it and I will be "borrowing" it from myself.
  3. Looking at getting a Kubota 7,000 diesel generator. Anyone here run one on a 50-amp trailer?
  4. Just pull a set of bearings out and take them and your seal to Napa or another auto parts store and get them there.
  5. I only went through a couple scales because it said all trucks must weigh and I didn't feel like arguing with some rookie on the said of the rad for an hour.
  6. The customer service is very good. I wired mine to be plug and play so I didn't have to cut into the trucks harness. You will want to have it in a box or some sort to keep it out of the weather. I put mine on the inside of the frame rail. No porblems so far but haven't driven in the rain much. Besides that, I have a Detroit engine so under the truck is coated in a nice thin layer of oil waterproofing everything.
  7. I thought I checked my valves but I will check them again.
  8. The trailer is a 06. I bought it used so I have no clue how old it is. I have another out of a salvage camper I was going to swap it out with. If I ever get time. Hope I can get to it this weekend.
  9. It use to run for a second once or twice a day. Now its doing it once ever 2 minutes or so. I never cold find a leak. I just figured the pump was starting to go bad.
  10. Thanks for the suggestions. I haven't had time to mess with it. This is busiest Memorial Day weekend I have ever had.
  11. Our water heater started leaking so I am thinking about replacing with a tankless. From what I see they are about the same price as a tank heater. I was wondering if anyone here has done the swap and what are the pros and cons. We will have this trailer at least another 5 years so whatever direction we go we will have to live with it for a while. I believe the cause of the crack is because I'm sucking air someplace. The hot water was kind of foamy like it has air in it. The pop of valve on the water heater kind of sticks so I think it built up pressure and cracked out in a weak spot. I can't find a leak anywhere where air is getting in. I have the water heater bypassed for the time being but now the pump cycles for a second every couple minutes so I shut the water off when we are not using it. Several times a day when washing my hands I get a burp of air out of the faucet.

    Change oil?

I change mine once a year regardless of miles. I usually only have 5-7,000 miles a year.
  13. We have several outdoor cats that like to hang out under the trailer. We have never had mice get in there at home.
  14. You don't need to worry about it until temps in the teens. Then I throw a bottle of Howes in. Less than that I run number 1 blend. You don't typically need full number one. We use a 50-50 blend here on the farm.
  15. I have had the trailer hooked up for a couple weeks now. I might drive it to the campground sometime this week. I need to get it out and exercise it. I don't like to leave it sit for more than 3 months at a time.
  16. I do not like those kinds of transactions. I always buy in person. As soon as the wire transfer goes through, I leave with my purchase. If they don't want to send the title I'm already halfway across the country with the trailer. Now what are they going to do? I'm not bringing it back.
  17. We wash the engines on our trucks all the time. We have to. In my line of work, they get filthy. Just don't spray too hard on the pugs on the firewall.
  18. I seen the video last night. I'm glad you are ok.
  19. Not only maintain a safe distance but keep an eye on your mirrors. You may not hear an ambulance or police car behind you. This actually happened to me a couple months ago. I couldn't figure out why all these cars were flashing their lights at me. There was a state trooper behind me trying to get around. Light and sirens. I didn't hear a thing.
  20. With an HDT I wild rather have the storage up front for pin weight. I imagine that huge rear storage area is to offset the pin weight so the trailer can be towed by 3/4-ton pickup.
  21. Jen and I looked at one the other day. It has the raised bedroom in the back. There is a massive storage area under there. I just don't know if I like all the stairs.
  22. As said above I would stay away from camping world. Hope you enjoy the trip.
  23. Having extra rad hoses and fan belt on hand is a good idea.
