  1. I did look at AllClad. Way above my income. Shopping at Olly's I have found the better grade of stainless Farberware and KitchenAid at an attractive price, inductive tested with my magnet. I bought a Cuisnart non-stick even though it failed the magnet. It is used on my butane stove. It is the best non-stick I have ever used.
  2. I shopped my pots and pans at Olly's and other overstock stores. I have a small magnet on my key ring. Really, it is not that much trouble. But that seems a nice set. I would expect it to be some light weight stuff based on the price for so many pans. I have one skillet and one saucepan and a kettle that I use regularly. A few others sit and gather dust.
  3. Ah. don't worry about that old bolt. It will find it's way out the bottom and you will run it over.
  4. Go to the Samlex power web site and investigate their inverters before you pull the trigger.

    Brakes Frozen

Gee. I thought 1987 was old. But then again it isn't HDT

    Brakes Frozen

I have had two trucks freeze the disk brakes. The bolts that the calipers ride needed to be well lubricated.
  7. Or use this type tool to cut the bolt head and proceed as others have posted. https://www.harborfreight.com/search?q=oscillating multi tool
  8. Get a pry bar that is used to pull nails. Use it to pull the screw out as if it was a nail. Deal with the hole after.
  9. Utility companies don't hesitate to file theft of services for many things. In this case I wouldn't expect them to do more than shut down your connection. I have my Prepaid Jetpack from Verizon. It has been unlimited for the past 6 months or so. It is $65 month. I did not have to do convoluted tricks to get it up and running. I don't have to worry about my account shutting down in the middle of streaming Breaking Bad. There is an area of SC and Ga where it doesn't have service.
  10. They all have a range of acceptable voltage. That maybe exceeded if it is charging voltage rather than battery voltage.

    Deductables

I change to "Plan F" after a year on "plan something else" I got tired of doctor bills that often came months after my visit. Now I don't see a bill. It is sometimes up to six months before I see the Medicare and then Supplement report on what was paid. It maybe different with TFL, but I wouldn't think so. If you are seen by someone that doesn't accept medicare, you could get a surprise. Be careful of what you sign, as you should be informed if no medicare assignment.

    5 Can Soup

If i eat one can of concentrated soup straight up or with one can of water it is the same amount of nutrition, and salt. But I have eaten Campbell's Vegetable, undiluted, right from the can.

    5 Can Soup

I always liked Campbell's concentrated vegetable mixed with a can of their tomato. I use 1 1/2 cans of water.
  14. You chose the supplement plan to help with the Medicare deductible and copay. Every letter plan is the same benefit package from all companies. Pick the one that has the lowest premium or the company you may favor. I use my union. Lots use AARP. You do not need a broker or agent you fill out a form and get your plan. Advantage plans are different, a broker may help making those choices. The Medicare web site has a good tool for picking a plan. I have F and have been very happy.
  15. Lead acid chemistry, if the battery goes dead it is now a bad battery. You need new ones. Most chargers will not start a charge on a completely dead battery. I often used a charge maintainer with its very small current to bring such a battery up to where it could be charged. But, don't trust that battery. Get new.
  16. I have two outlets. One is fed by the inverter. A different outlet is fed from a 20 amp 'shore-line'. If you need a transfer switch, there are rotary switches such as these; https://www.bluesea.com/products/category/7/38/Switches/Rotary_Switches?Nominal_Voltage=120
  17. "The Medicare funding sources are the same whether you are enrolled in Original Medicare or a Medicare Advantage plan." quoted from https://medicare.com/medicare-advantage/how-is-medicare-advantage-plan-funded/ Yes there is a pot funded by congress. But both plans get money from it. The Advantage plans do not get any more than medicare. They save money by managing your care with Network Providers.
  18. docj. My part D has a yearly deductible of $460 plus co-pays for drugs with differing tier percentages. This is in addition to raising monthly premiums. There are 'prefered providers' that have the lowest costs, $2, for generics.

    Toll Roads in FL

If you spend any time in Florida, you will have a toll. Get the SunPass. Link it to a credit card with maybe a $25 refill amount and don't worry about where you drive. It will get you some toll discounts as well.

    Toll Roads in FL

In Florida, there are a couple of places on non-toll roads where an express lane is toll. I got caught once and had a large toll come in the mail. I invested in a Sun Pass. I use ez pass north of carolina and sun pass below virginia. When I'm moving north and south on the east side, the toll passes are well worth having.
  21. John T, I think it is time you start giving a warranty.
  22. I had a set of jumpers made from welding cable. The insulation split and had to be repaired many times. I'm sure there are better grades of welding cable, but I don't know how to pick the better ones. All I'm saying is marine grade made in usa is the best choice for me. I do know that it will be the best quality. GDZ delivers in one or two days from ordering. Solar panel leads, with MC4 ends, is from Windy Nation solar supply.
  23. To bad. I find I like the things I had to eat as a child in the troubled times.
  24. I have found welding cable to have poorer quality insulation. I'm sure some are better than others. Marine grade seems to be consistently high quality, plus has tinned plated wire strands for corrosion protection. 50 feet of 8 awg is 42.50 with shipping at Genuine Dealz . com for a few $ more they will make to your length with proper crimped lugs. I would not use marine or welding cable exposed on roof.
