When you get home buy two matching tires and dump the one that overheated and the spare. Use the one that didn't overheat as the new spare.

It does depend on the state you want to register the trailer. As an example, in NJ there are two main MVC offices that handle the sticky cases. The average county office may not have the knowledge needed. Do have a "salvage Title"? If you don't have any evidence of ownership, you could be in deep mudt.

OP was not selling anything. They were asking for help. Different situations.

Op was a month ago. If posted to many forums, or even only this one. It is polite to come back and say thanks much, my problem is solved. But the first post? with a phone number? On the first day joining? and the only post made? I will stay away from this one.

Ain't it the truth. As soon as I sell or junk something I need it. Everything in a too full garage, I have no use. But, I'm afraid to part with it.

I do all maintenance and repair on my vehicles. I have a 4 drawer tool box fitted in nicely. I have my typical mechanics tool assortment. I have rescued stranded RVers on great plains of Canada. Rt 1.

I have a class B. I use and like my TomTom VIA 1525SE. I had the latest-greatest-most-recommended-expensive Garmen. The screen would freeze making the device worthless for hours. Amazon quickly refunded my money. I recommend the lessor dollar TomTom.

Batteries can last 16 hours. Then dead batteries are hard to recharge. The TV alternator will not do that job. If the battery is not fully recharged, they will not last very long before replacing.

Question for the electrical knowledgeable
Sehc replied to somewhereinusa's topic in Technical Tips and Tricks
Do not use a 300 amp fuse on 4 awg cables. At 300 amps the insulation will soften and start melting. -
vacuuming. wax the linoleum. polish the tires. clean the windshield with brillo.

2.25% fee for credit card. If total was $1000 then $25.

Wire and cable connections don't only corrode from battery fume. The moisture and pollutants present in the atmosphere can cause bad connections. A note; I have no battery caused corrosion on my lead acid batteries, house or starter. Proper charging and other maintenance is the key to happy campers.

Question for the electrical knowledgeable
Sehc replied to somewhereinusa's topic in Technical Tips and Tricks
I use marine grade wire. My chart shows 4 awg safe to 160 amps in open air. At two feet and 150 amps, there is less than 2% voltage drop. My heaviest load is 150 amps with the microwave. But I feel better with 2/0 cable, and that is what the inverter specifications list. I also like less than 1% voltage drop for charging and other sensitive devices, such as my fridge, and the inverter. Inverters are not chargers, they make 120 v ac from 12 v dc. -

Vehicle shopping: Large SUV with removable rear seats?
Sehc replied to Randy0781's topic in Boondocking
I had a 2006 expedition. What an expensive repair bill. Was glad to sell it for parts. Those automatic folding seats are difficult to remove,. Stay with mechanical or fixed seats if you are going to remove. -
It is always good to review this article from Rod Collins. https://marinehowto.com/making-your-own-battery-cables/

method two. All the interconnecting positive cables must should be the same length. All the interconnecting negative cables should be the same length. The positives do not have to be the same length as the negatives. Always use a catastrophic fuse on the positive battery.

I have my 690 ah golf cart batteries connected with 2/0 awg. All the interconnecting cables must be the same. I used method 3. All the positive are the same length. All the negatives are the same length. Negs don't have to be same as pos. I used Blue Sea terminal fuse blocks on the positive battery.
