  1. The small amount of hydrogen from a battery will trigger a CO detector. It would be worse when the battery is being overcharged. I have been looking for a detector that doesn't trigger by hydrogen. Also the detectors die from old age, and from use. So I think the hydrogen will shorten the life before the common 5 years.
  2. Well, I wasn't trying to disparage medicare or accuse the hospital of over charging. . In fact the charge that caught my eye was due to the hospital billing department listing my Surgeon visit on the wrong date. Resulting in the refusal of payment. And yes. Medicare has been good to me along with the private insurance that covers plan F. But. Part D is a different argument as how good or bad it is.
  3. My part D has never refused 90 day refill on my maintenance drugs. After having problems last year i had many visits and procedures at a university hospital. The bills were long, many lines of code for each visit. I noticed that Medicare did not cover some items as "it was considered part of another procedure on the same day".
  4. Salton sea was created by accident, and continued on as a downhill accident until it became a disaster.
  5. Have Direct TV at home. They are dropping channels, or the channels are dropping them. I think it is the old fight over how much money goes to where.

This is a really good price on a quality DC clamp-on ammeter, multimeter. https://shop.marinehowto.com/products/sterling-power-dc-ac-amp-clamp-volt-meter
  7. Sorry I offended you big5er. I'm sure it will happen again. I did not tell anyone to stay away. I was speaking for myself. It is polite to come back and say "thanks, problem solved". If they don't remember where they posted then they can be forgiven. Not some others.
  8. All very interesting. The future is electric. No getting around that. We will clean up our act, or the world will go on without humans. As far as clean electric energy, one big pile is easier to clean than millions of small ones.
  9. How ever spell check puts it, it is still shit. I do agree love is up there.
  10. My suburban uses an on-off thermostat. Switching the power at the furnace. The smart one I have at home needs a external power supply.
  11. Yes. Make modifications to increase your polution. That is what the world needs today.
  12. You are quite the salesman. I don't believe the funds from the government are anything else than the money from the SS benefit payment. I don't believe those funds can be spent on anything other than the health expenses not covered by the high deductible policy. Those funds are not returned to the victim.
  13. I think you should go back and read the fine print. The money in the 'account' can be only used for medical expenses. It is the insurance company's money. Not the insured. It is the medicare premium paid by the insured. If changing from the plan, the money goes to the company. Not the insured. It is really spend it or lose it.
  14. Certainly does to some on here. I for one can't wait for a thread where I can get all politiky.
  15. Those numbers are your monthly premium paid to Medicare. Or deducted from your monthly benefit. Unless you are in perfect health and expect to stay that way for the rest of your life, 30 or more years. I will stay with my original Medicare with a supplement. Plan F for now, maybe G later.
  16. I have used the Cape May Ferry many times a year for many years. I have not seen a TSA agent. The ferry has its own security personnel. They typically use mirrors to look under each vehicle, Look in the windows, and randomly open a trunk. They don't have enough time to to dawdle. You must have been very suspicious, in appearance or actions.
  17. Remember the effect of the storm is much wider spread than where it "makes landfall" I suggest you get your information here and not on the forum. https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ The amount of rainfall will cause flooding in unexpected areas. When Sandy made landfall in Little Egg Harbor, it devastated Northern NJ and New York City, 200 mile away.
  18. I was a licenced water treatment operator for many campgrounds, so was familiar with some of the goings on.. The only people that were interested in the campers were the local school boards. Tax guy was only interested in the one collecting the money, not the one paying.
  19. My Corelle is so lightweight it almost makes dishwashing pleasurable. I don't have hard tile, so don't worry about dropping any. Any thing that keeps them from clanking together would work to protect them. Your containers would be bomb proof, and not that much hassle to remove and repack.
  20. You have unlimited data? Is that on a wireless plan. Or do you mean a DSL phone line? Beware of the clowns at the verizon stores. My experience is they lie. They don't know what they are selling. They will be gone next week when you need clarification of what they promised. You only need one line. How much does each GB over your wireless plan really cost. Mine used to be $10 per GB.
  21. A trailer can not move on it's own. The tow Vehicle must be insured for liability, and that insures the trailer. If the trailer is legal. Liability insurance is a must have. I'm sure your insurer will want to know about the trailer. The trailer does need to be registered. Let the Texas, or any other US registration lapse while you are in a park, it will be hell getting it re-registered from Canada.
  22. 303 markets many different products. They do have a tire and rubber cleaner. They also have a Tire Balm & Uv Protectant. Myself would not use and of these type products. Just soap and water with a brush.
  23. I had an old 6620L and reactivated it with Verizon Prepaid Unlimited. Can't complain.
