  1. Maybe they would if the people missing contact with their loved ones pushed hard enough. I sincerely doubt this setup would be that expensive.
  2. Read about this this morning, seems simple and straightforward as a possible solution, a Hug Bubble from France.
  3. Your choice, but IMO I think you need to change banking institutes. Mine with Chase can be found here and it applies to debit and credit cards. That is why I use the Gas Buddy card without a worry. That also applies to using the TRD Logistics card.
  4. My lack of faith is when we dictate that people, especially in nursing homes, can not see loved ones. We can shop, we can dine (in some places), we can attend church, etc. but we can not attend to a loved one in a nursing home. At this point it is a family decision, not a government decision. I will say no more on the topic as I don't want to be placed in "jail".
  5. Well, a friend and former coworker posted today that her grandmother died from COVID. She had just turned 103. Wow! The sad part was that she died alone due to COVID restrictions. I am so sad for her and the situation in general. I have no solution in mind I just know that we can not live in this lock down status. I am not convinced that the "science" or reality backs it up entirely.
  6. Park we are in near Austin, TX has storage for $70.00/month. PM me if you want park name and address.
  7. That link shows for a 6V light bulb. I have had good luck taking the bulb to an auto parts store and just match them up by eyeball.
  8. The Gas Buddy card requires the use of a pin at the point of purchase so it is not just a swipe type transaction. To me that seems pretty secure as long as I do not reveal my pin. However, our debit does have protections in that it will automatically decline transactions that seem fraudulent to whatever algorithm they use. When they flag a transaction they both text and call so that we can verify or deny the transaction. In short, I have no problem using the Gas Buddy card.
  9. I do have the Gas Buddy card and it works as promised. I use the app to find the cheapest fuel then when I pay there I use the card and get additional savings.
  10. I have no idea where that link goes and won't click it to find out and I recommend that no one else should click it either.
  11. For what it is worth, I have combed through both my owners manual (yes, I know, different year) and a ford service document on trailer towing in neither do I find any mention of the Traction Control System affecting the Integrated Brake Controller. In the explanation of how the TCS works in the owners manual it mentions that it applies brakes to individual wheels and can increase or decrease power as needed but there is no mention at all of trailer braking. Same for the service doc. My conclusion is that it does not impact the brake controller, as there is no mention at all and one would think with all the CYA notes in the owners manual there would be.
  12. Thanks all for the responses! We do open the vent in the bath when showering. We do not have a kitchen fan that exhausts to the outside but depending on what we are cooking and weather we will turn on the MaxFan. We open our windows as much and as often as we can as we do like the fresh air. The downside to that I have noticed is that it is usually less humid inside than out and then the outside air raises the humidity inside again. Around and around we go. I went ahead and ordered a small dehumidifier that should be sized right for the RV. It is not a physically large unit, gets very good reviews and doesn't cost very much. We shall see how it goes. It should be here tomorrow.
  13. We are in the Austin, TX area and will be for the winter and spring unless things radically change with COVID. Today is a grey, gloomy day and it has been raining pretty much all day. With cooking, dish and laundry washing, breathing, etc. the windows are starting to get moisture on the inside, especially as the outside temperature drops towards evening. We do have the little canisters that are supposed to absorb moisture, and they do, but it is fairly humid here so we are replacing them fairly frequently. I am thinking about getting a dehumidifier. I have found a couple that are recommended for RVs and get good reviews but I am wondering if others use a dehumidifier and what size or brands do they have and recommend among the members here. Thanks!
  14. You can blame that on President Eisenhower and the creation of the Interstate System officially the Eisenhower National System of Interstate and Defense Highways. It was a dream he had had since he was a young Army lieutenant. That is in itself an interesting bit of history and another story.
  15. I read that article and it said you needed line of sight to 53 degrees latitude. Really? Is this a misprint? That places them over Canada.
  16. Before we sold the house, we streamed a lot on multiple TVs and never came close to hitting the cap with Comcast.
  17. Here is the link to reviews for the fairgrounds in Campground Reviews. It gets generally good reviews and I noticed only one review that mentioned that the sewer hookup was a little far away. It does have pictures too. And, I do not imagine that Escapees would choose a park that would have the issues you are describing for an Escapade, can you really?
  18. The Amazon Pharmacy delivery also does "Pill Pak" where they put your pills in packs for morning, evening, etc. Unfortunately, my insurance will not cover it.
  19. We use Wash Wax All and it is awesome. We are currently in a park that does not allow washing of rigs. Our granddaughter and her boyfriend did the whole rig in 3 afternoons after school and it shined.
  20. I do not have this antenna but there are a number of references to this error on various forums. It seems to be an error that is shown when the antenna is attempting to return to the "home" or lowered position. In almost all references I saw Winegard's solution was to run a re-calibration procedure. One of the forums posted that process.
  21. It seems windy must have been thinking "Let's give Linda what she really wants". When I opened Windy this morning it asked me if I wanted to try out their new trip planning feature. Click on three bars top left, then choose distance and planning. Next, select the waypoints you want and then at the bottom choose the mode of transportation.
  22. The difference being, as was discussed before this thread got a little derailed, is temperature. Hepatitis and Shingrix need to be stored at between 36 and 46 F. (as is true for most traditional vaccines) whereas COVID vaccines need to be stored anywhere from -4 to -94 F. A simple refrigerator handles the former but not so much the latter.
  23. As said previously, it is what YOU prefer. We prefer a residential size King Sleep Number bed and that is what is in the RV.
  24. I found this article in Discover Magazine this does a very good job of explaining the distribution chain and the hurdles that need to be overcome.
