    block heater

2008 FL m2, Cummins 8.3L Can I leave the engine block heater on all night?
  3. #4 should be fine. Yeah, 180a @ 50v would be a monster load! When running air with my setup I noticed the busbar connection (not the #4 cable) getting hot. My mistake was not using large enough nuts/bolts to fasten to the bars.
  4. Or less. I chose 30a because of my electric slides and jacks.
  5. Mighta been cheaper to get 120v versions of those things.
  6. As I read it, 7k means 7,000 watts. At 48v nominal that would be about 140ah each.
  7. I have a Victron converter. 30a, 48v->12v. Never any problems.
  8. Fwiw, as a Direct subscriber I got real fed up taking 2 days and 3 clerks to successfully change locals. I now have an LA service address and can get those channels everywhere.
  9. I believe science that hits Scientific American or Nat Geo, not obscure websites and Youtube.

There's also a wrong "it's," and $40 dollars is redundant.
  11. one of my hd receivers shows the 110, other doesn't. I've never gotten the 110 with a SWM setup. 99, 101 and 103
  12. Solar, at 100+ volts in series, using an Outback charger. Shore, using a Schauer 48v charger, modified for Li by the mfr for free.
  13. I camp at Mecca Beach every winter. During the cooler winter months it's not smelly. I hate seeing it neglected and just allowed to get worse and eventually evaporate. If that happens, a lot of people are going to be in danger from airborne pollutants.
  14. Renogy makes one with a heater now. I have the 100ah 48v steel case battery. Love it. I'm hoping to never have to buy another battery again.
  15. There's a better chance you will if you consult the Verizon coverage map.
  16. Some middles-of-nowhere have Verizon coverage, some don't. If you can limit yourself to those, a phone may be just fine.
  17. "I could post 20 or 50 more links if you link. That site above is 100% data driven." That's ok. Wikipedia describes the site you're citing (wattswupwiththat.com) as: ".. a blog promoting climate change denial that was created by Anthony Watts in 2006. The blog predominantly discusses climate issues with a focus on anthropogenic climate change, generally accommodating beliefs that are in opposition to the scientific consensus on climate change" So I doubt we'll be agreeing on anything.
  18. Thanks. There are definitely different ways of looking at the data. From : https://www.wunderground.com/hurricane/hurrarchive.asp?region=at I pulled the years with 10 or more hurricanes. On the left is the year, center is number of hurricanes in North Atlantic, the figure on the right is the delta of years. For instance, from 1893 to 1916 - it took 23 years to find another year with 10 hurricanes. Notice how after 1995 they come with increasing frequency. 1893 10 1916 10 23 1933 10 17 1950 11 17 1969 12 19 1995 11 26 1998 10 3 2005 15 7 2010 12 5 2012 10 2
  19. What locations and time periods are you referring to?
  20. My inverter is always on. When your water pump isn't running, it's drawing zero power. I turn mine off at night in case it leaks, also when leaving the coach. You can pump your water tank dry.
  21. I would completely trust my Verizon 4g connection at anything 2 bars and above. Even out in the dingles I can get good service. Trade on!
