  1. Well if that's the case the hacker certainly has a sense of humor. Vtext has slowly improved and only minor delays, no thanks to Verizon employees who insist on asking the same dumb questions over and over.
  2. Oh Joy! Both cab and rear bags stayed inflated all night, and the system lost only 50lb. I don't know what you guys experience, but losing 'only' 50lb overnight' is a major improvement for this truck.
  3. thanks. Oh how nice.. all the bags are staying up and she's only leaked about 10 pounds in two hours. Yay!
  4. On a related note, everything seems to be going wrong at once. - my Facebook replies are all appearing in duplicate - the Burger King app will not let me mobile order at the closest restaurant to me. - my YouTube previous searches are not mine, they're somebody else's - my Verizon phone often doesn't ring -
  5. Got the cabs bags replaced for 'only' a couple hundred bucks. I didn't do the rears because they hadn't been leaking. Now, after getting the cab bags replaced, the rears are leaking again. I don't know how bags can leak intermittently.
  6. The issue is either Verizon, gmail, or the combination, and only certain customers. I can't get a meaningful response from either of them. All I get from Verizon is 'thoughts and prayers', and Google is not responding at all. This has gone from not working at all, to delays of several minutes to several hours.
  7. Being an android guy I had to look that up, so yeah, I guess so. This is an abbreviated samplng of carriers and their email to text domains: T-Mobilemobile-number@tmomail.net (MMS)U.S. Cellularmobile-number@email.uscc.net (SMS)mobile-number@mms.uscc.net (MMS)Verizonmobile-number@vtext.com (SMS)mobile-number@vzwpix.com (MMS)Virgin Mobilemobile-number@vmobl.com (SMS)mobile-number@vmpix.com (MMS)
  8. Because I like having it appear as a text on my phone. Nice for grocery lists. This is a common feature of every carrier. You gave the "Hee Haw" doctor answer.
  9. Sending a short email from gmail on my computer to my phone at vtext.com has worked for years. Within the last week it's suddenly quit. Here are some error messages: The response was: The user you are trying to contact is receiving mail at a rate that prevents additional messages from being delivered. Please resend your message at a later time. If the user is able to receive mail at that time, your message will be delivered. For more information, please visit https://support.google.com/mail/answer/6592 The response was: The recipient server did not accept our requests to connect. Learn more at https://support.google.com/mail/answer/7720 [vrz-sms.mx.a.cloudfilter.net. 35.167.120.54: 421 vrz-ibgw-6003a.ext.cloudfilter.net cmsmtp Connection refused - vKXZlrAieAttk - POL109E - too many sessions from 209.85.167.45 ] [vrz-sms.mx.a.cloudfilter.net. 35.165.168.89: 421 vrz-ibgw-6002a.ext. The above support links are either irrelevant or inoperable. I have contacted Verizon but getting no useful help. I can send a message to my phone using another email like outlook. Getting in contact with anyone at Google has proven impossible. What I find totally baffling about this is that apparently, nobody but me and a few hundred other users are the only ones seeing these error messages.
  10. Yep. FAX is becoming sorta like the telegraph.
  11. Can I fool a lever or valve to think the bags are full? In other words, stop air going to them?
  12. Got the last of the concrete poured today, so soon I'll get 'er up and get under there and see what's what. My favorite mechanic will absolutely not do air bags at my house. I do not understand this truck. For the last couple months the rear bags have been going down in concert with the cab bags. Now, last night, the cab bags deflated (2 known leaks) but the rears remained up. Huh?
  13. I'm not sure what that means. What control? I'm getting more ready to try this myself, only first I have to have access under the truck without constant fear of it falling on me. So I'm pouring concrete pads for ramps to elevate the truck enough to see if I can do this. And of course that takes forever.
  14. 6 months or more storage is 'Drain the gasoline.' Even storing for 2 weeks I always drain the carburetor using the drain screw. Paying to have one carburetor cleaned was enough.
  15. The fix will be taking it to the least incompetent truck shop. Mobile service said they'd show up, twice, never did. Other shop was so disorganized I left. The last time I used a Freightliner shop they kept it for 3 weeks. Parts are not an issue. I found 2 pinhole leaks in one of the cab bags. I'm actually considering covering the holes with Gorilla glue and hoping it holds long enough to see if they are the reason the rear axle bags are also deflating without actually having leaks of their own. Sportchassis said leaking cab bags can do that, but they also didn't know what LOF meant.
  16. I do, but there's not enough cable to put the dinky antenna much higher than the roof rails, and if I add more cable the signal attenuation subtracts from any benefit of height. I get an occasional 1 bar of 4g there, just enough to allow a text message now and then, and the occasional junk phone call to go directly to messaging. Their wifi works well, when it's actually working. but it goes down all the time, some of the repeaters quit and they don't have someone there who gives enough of a darn to reboot them.
  17. Well I'll be, I loosened the cap and voila, fuel transfer. Can't drive that way, but I'll keep an eye on things. Thanks!
  18. is apparently too soon. The weather went from " I need a/c" to "brr" overnight. Storm rolled in yesterday and I got absolutely soaked. Rained virtually all day. Also cold and windy. And, of course, being that the campground was about 10% full, somebody had to pull in and park right next to me. One other note about Morefield campground: they have wifi, but it's very unreliable and spotty. Probably wouldn't bother me but there's zero phone signal in there.
  19. I have a nearly identical truck. As I was reading your post I thought.. "hmm, did I make this post years ago?" LOL Even your mileage is almost the same as mine. For the most part I like it, but air leaks are a constant problem. For trips to nowhere I would recommend having spare air fittings and perhaps parts for that junction box near the rear axle. Also maybe carry spare air bags too. I'm not the most mechanical guy and most of this I can't fix.
  20. Running fine, but sitting on an upslope it was hard to start today. Sportchassis just said the same thing about the fuel cap.. thanks. But why would the fuel cap *suddenly * be a problem?
  21. Got a few you tube tips about some breather on the top of the tanks. Sound like a good place to start? The passenger tank is staying full. If it ain't one thing it's another. I'm getting really tired of all the maintenance on this thing.
  22. I got this a few years ago to enhance the wifi in Mesa Verde campground. They have antennas at each bathroom, which aren't very tall and you can't always be in direct line of sight of them. So, you get a weak to poor signal, and sometimes you can't obtain an IP address. Your only recourse is to go complain and wait until one tech shows up and reboots things. Or... this beauty did the trick for me today: https://ccrane.com/cc-vector-extended-long-range-wifi-receiver-system-2-4-ghz/ I see this item is out of stock, but, if you can find one it's the best $300 you'll ever spend. I mount it high on my roof using sections of PVC pipe. Height is king.
