    Myth Busters

There are several good comments to these videos as well. I've been a subscriber to his channel for a while now.
  2. That is a good deal! I'm all Apple. But, my computers are so old I've limited out on OS updates. Contemplating now whether I stay with Apple or move back to Windows.
  3. I've got YouTube TV. The only reason I keep it is for live sports.
  4. I agree with you there! There was a guy parting one out on one of those places the other day. I didn't try to buy anything from him so I don't know how it would work. I think it was on one of the Facebook pages.
  5. If you are not on the Smart Car Forums and Smart Car Facebook pages, now would be a good time to join them. See wheels and parts and ideas all the time on those pages. They are pretty active.
  6. So far so good. There is quite a following on the Smart forums and several different Facebook pages. I'm hoping mine won't need many parts for a long while. Just sold an 08 and bought a 15. If this 2015 will be as reliable as the 08 was, I'll be extremely happy! The 08 never gave us any problem. I basically bought the 15 just for the color. 08 was Blue, the 15 is white.
  7. Regarding how long it takes to get up to operating temperature and all the fluids warmed up and the moisture etc gone. It depends on the temperature. I don't like to drive mine less than 40 miles once I start it, and that is a minimum. In really cold temps, that would increase. I love driving the truck, and I drove one commercially for 30 years. But, I would hate it as a daily driver, unless you are one of those who stays at the trailer and only makes weekly trips for your necessities. I didn't like the Duramax dually for daily driving much either. You get in these little resort towns and parking a dually with 8ft bed is an issue. The ideal set up would be a HDT with a hydraulic bed you could haul a Smart car on. As far as comfort goes; I've got a bad back. I much prefer riding in the HDT than I did my dually. P.S. forget about a day cab. As has already been mentioned, licensing one could be a problem. But even if you can get around that, two adults and a big purse is about all you can put in the cab. Not to mention your back is right against the rear wall and pretty much straight up.
  8. "General rule" in truck/long, slow vehicle accidents; if you hit them 1/2 way and back toward the rear, you had your head somewhere and had plenty of time to avoid the accident. There would be exceptions. The fact the car took an angle to the rear of the vehicle could prove to be one of those exceptions in this accident. More measurements and car speed would need to be known before a conclusive finding could be made. My first impression, truck shouldn't have turned when he did. (the narrator is a knucklehead)
  9. Well it wants iCloud info on a Mac. Wonder if will try and store them there? I don't have room for pictures in my iCloud.
  10. I don't think I'd want to be any longer than I am now with the Smart bed. Certainly not long enough for a four door jeep. Maybe run the jeep up some ramps at an angle to keep from being so long?
  11. Thanks for the pictures! I found out that there is "virgin UHMW, and reprocessed UHMW. The piece I got is reprocessed. It is not shiny slick smooth on either side, but it is still smooth on one side. I think it will be all right.
  12. Thanks! I've got my piece cut out and the hole drilled. Haven't tried to fit it on there yet. I was thinking a piece of 1/4" flat stock and only drill two holes, three at the most.
  13. Planning on being there, Lord willing!
  14. Well I'm 4 axels. Bet I don't go that way again!
  15. I was just in Colorado and ran the toll portion from I 70 up to I25 going to Loveland. $28 both ways? Wow! Haven't got the bill yet and not looking forward to that!
  16. Exactly the way I plan to sell mine when the time comes. I searched and searched for a package deal when I got into this and never found one, bad timing I guess. Hope your sale all goes well.
  17. You da man Larry!!!👍
  18. It would be nice if the "official group photo" was posted on this thread as well as all those individual videos that were taken on picture day. It would be handy to have them in all in one place.......just a thought.
  19. I finished up polishing and waxing the Volvo. Being the caring person that I am, I'm gonna let somebody else to it next time!!
  20. I need somebody that knows how to use a buffer and get dirty. Actually the good ones use an angle grinder.
  21. Speaking of polishing wheels, and bumpers. Mine are in need. Be nice if somebody came to the fairgrounds capable of doing that the week we are there. Bound to be others that would take advantage. I'll hunt around for somebody if there is any interest.
  22. I got a piece of this. I don't know if it is the right type, but I'm gonna try it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/324868029288
  23. I can't believe all you guys listing the parts you carry and not one of you said Duct Tape!!!😁
  24. That's why I wondered what all wasn't working on his. They quoted me a flat rate to re-solder/repair the gauge connections and replace all the lights. My fuel gauge didn't work and one other, can't remember which one and several lights were out. They put all new lights in the cluster. They were in Ozark, MO, but it looks like they've moved Marshfield, MO, now. https://www.automotivecircuitsolutions.com/
