  1. Ray, for 240 volt service, you use L1 and L2 and the ground wire. You only use the neutral when you need a 120 volt service. In that case, you use either L1 or L2 and the neutral as well as the ground. If you have a 240 volt appliance that also requires 120 volts for control cicuits, you would need all 4 wires to meet code.
  2. It's all the same diesel at a truck stop, no red dye. It just separates the transactions so the company can file and get the road taxes they paid at the pump for refer fuel reimbursed. Edit: Make sure you finish pumping into the passenger side tank BEFORE you hang up the hose on the drivers side.
  3. At his age, he just gets Donna to fix it. Kinda like another old timer I know...
  4. You will be a lot better off to make a cut in both pex tubes about 6" above the fittings and put a splice in them when you reinstall the tank. For the splice, you can use a sharkbite fitting, a stainless steel crimp ring (my preference) or a crimped copper ring.
  5. This happened 2 days ago in Louisiana and cost a woman her life. I would like to think that everyone here would not do something this stupid but watch out and try to educate those that are not as experienced at driving rigs like ours.
  6. Kirk. The NTTA's site indicates the are interoperable with Kansas's K-tag, Oklahoma's Pike Pass, Texas's TxTag and EZ Tag as well as Florida's Sun Pass. I'm pretty sure I have been on at least those roads around Dallas and they were paid by the transponder company.
  7. I have the TSD transponder in our rig and so far, it has worked as advertised in Texas, Florida, Kansas. Indiana and others. Note that you have one, sealed box but two transponders are inside the box.
  8. With your background, I would have thought you would have a proctologist or two as a buddy that you would have let you borrow one of those fancy, steerable scopes. 😁
  9. Hmmmm, a lot of you old folks seem to have them...
  10. Are you still using an Iphone? That camera doesn't work with Android or Pixel phones.
  11. Carl, are you going to be anywhere near me anytime soon? You can use mine.
  12. LOL, I don't drive that fast, just had it set to the maximum rpm in 13th. That way I don't ever to need worry about it.
  13. Rod, most of the larger shops out there can change those settings on Paccar trucks. The same can be said for most dealerships as you are the fleet owner for your trucks. The top speed limiter on mine is set north of 100 mph.
  14. I can confirm that in Alaska, it will depend on where you are as to where the dish will align. Seward, Homer and other Kenai areas seemed to orient to the south while around Anchorage, Palmer, Talkeetna, Fairbanks and sites in those areas tended to orient to the north. Even those generalized directions were not absolute. There were times we were aimed NW, SW and SE.
  15. The only spare parts I carry are fuel filters, serpentine belts, intercooler hose and oil and oil filters plus a gallon of coolant. Those can be taken out by bad fuel or road debris and only take a few minutes to fix on the side of the road. I do carry a good tool kit with me to fix those issues noted above and for more serious problems once I have been moved to a safe area. How big that tool kit is depends on the skill level of the owner however and what I carry is not for everyone.
  16. From what I can see here, if you drive a Volvo, you probably need to carry a spare ECM. Just saying...😎
  17. And here I thought we were watching an episode of "How the filter turns" or "Days of our filters" or "One ECM to live" or even "The young and the filterless"
  18. Always use fuel line hose for any rubber fuel line applications. You never want your rubber to break in a critical situation....πŸ˜‰
  19. LOL, I wondered if anyone would translate that. Was hoping to get a rise out of Rick! He now has a real truck but he is correct about Chinese manufacturers. They can build cheap or as good as you want to pay for. Unfortunately, not many people want to pay them for qualify.

  21. The Loves in south Hutchinson is 3.17 a gallon with the TSD card
  22. Looks like wheels for a side access ladder that pulls out of a compartment.
