  1. FedEx and UPS hire seasonal helpers as loaders but I don’t believe they hire seasonal drivers. Not sure but worth looking into. Amazon Prime is looking for delivery drivers but I don’t think you need to have a commercial liscense because they are using mini vans.
  2. Get a quote from Geico. I am fulltime in So Dakota and Geico saved me a lot of $$$. I have my Class A, Jeep Wrangler, Harley, an umbrella and 3 rental properties with them.
  3. Maybe it’s just another scam. They are really not the IRS. Don’t give them your email address.
  4. Most everyone in the affected area is heading north and inland. Roads will be crowded. Campgrounds will be hard to find. Many fuel stops are already out or are charging 3x the regular amount for fuel. After the hurricane passes it may take weeks for things to return to normal. The weather report is that a second storm is already forming and may turn into a tropical storm or another hurricane in a week or two. Proceed with caution. Watch the weather reports. More accurate information on the tract of this storm will be coming in the next few hours and time will tell where it will hit if at all. Have a back up plan.
  5. Some insurance companies consider a roadside assistance call a claim on the policy, some don’t. Check with yours to be sure.
  6. Have you checked out how much money you will make delivering motor homes. I have been told but have no personal knowledge that you do not make that much. You can not sleep in the RV or 5th wheel you are delivering and must get a hotel room, plus your food expense. Not sure if you pay for your own fuel. I think you are paid by the mile and are an independent contractor and have to cover all expenses. Again I have no personal knowledge, just going by what I have been told by others.

    $100,000 part

I have a surgical rod in my left leg, and one in my left arm. I have also had all my toes on my right foot amputated by the bumper of a car in a motorcycle accident.
  8. It was my Class A motorhome. My Jeep does not have an inside dully. It was my fulltimers motorhome policy. I also had Nationwide on my Jeep and Harley at the time. I have also been told, not sure who told me, that a roadside assistance call is considered by most insurers as a claim, I know AAA does this, and there is a risk that a premium increase will happen at renewal. Not all insurance companies do this but some will. That is another reason I got the FMCA RA plan.
  9. Cal-Am Sunflower RV Resort Charged an extra $20 a month for sewer and trash last year when I was there. The add on charge was for each month Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb and March. This was in addition to your site rent and electric.
  10. Just an FYI. I had Nationwide before I switched to Geico. Called them once when my passenger side inside dully went into the ditch on a right hand turn. Needed to be winched 3 feet. I was still on the highway except for the passenger side inside dully that was in the ditch. They would not cover a winchout, said only a tow was covered. Had to call a wrecker and pay $300 to hook up a chain and pull me backwards 3 feet. I also called my extended warranty that has roadside assistance and was denied saying winchouts were not covered only a tow for a mechanical breakdown was covered. I bought FMCAs RA for this reason.
  11. I’m meeting up with some friends in Davenport near Orlando. Won’t be there till Dec1st. Staying in Golf Shores AL the month of Nov.
  12. I stayed last winter in a Cal-Am Park in Surprise AZ. Sunflower RV Resort. It was a little more that $1,000 from Sept 10th till the end of Dec, but Jan, Feb and March were over $1,000 each. I am going to check out FL this winter.
  13. The brochure from FMCA advertising their RA specifically states that winch out is included. I called Safe Ride and verified the info. As a side note I just today received an email from FMCA that their membership is going up from $50 to $75
  14. First you must power up the antenna, then you must power up the booster, then you turn on the tv. Next you go to the imput/menu or whatever your tv has to select over the air for the imput. Then you have to scan for the channels. Then you should have a signal IF there are any in your area.
  15. I disagree. There is no law that a consumer must take the product back to the manufacturer. If you by a Ford you take it to a dealer not back to Detroit. They took their rig back to the dealer multiple times and to multiple dealers. There is no law that requires you to take it back to the manufacturer in order for a product to be declared a lemon. The buyers followed the steps required by law. I do believe that the award was high. A return of their purchase price and some extra for the loss of use maybe. But the jury wanted to punish the manufacturer and awarded punitive damages.
  16. I am sure this has been discussed before but I could not find anything. A friend of mine uses 303 on his entire rig. Sides, front and rear cap etc. He even uses it on his tires. Is 303 ok for tires? I have been told that some chemicals are not good on rubber. He does cover them when parked.
  17. A cell phone is a good idea if she keeps it charged and on her person, but if her fall renders her unconscious she won’t be able to call. The life alert, or other such device, will alert but most have to be activated by a button I believe, so if unconscious, same as a cell phone. I think there are some brands that automatically alert when on the ground, not sure. As stated in other posts, contact her Dr for advise. If the situation worsens and she is unable to take of herself but still insists to not go to an assisted living home you may have to petition the court for a guardianship of the person. But is she continues to walk out of the facility then you will have to hire a home health aid to assist.
  18. Thanks Shawn. Just an FYI. I left two messages several days apart. One with the main number when I called for my mail forwarding and one dialing your 800 number. On the second call I was told that you were in a meeting. Also anything we/you can do regarding the ATF issue.
  19. Call Tiffin customer service. They may be able to answer your question.
  20. JRP I was specifically told by Shields in Rapid City ( this was about 3 years ago) that they could not complicate my purchase of a Henry rifle because the local ATF had told them not to sell to anyone with a PMB. Their legal department was advised that they would be shut down if they ignored the order of the local ATF as per the salesman. I went to Cabellas and was told the exact same thing. I know others who use America’s Mail Box and were also denied. So it is the local ATF who is depriving us of a Constitional right. It may not be a ATF policy but it is a local ATF policy. The local ATF is violating their own general requirements and definitions to buy a weapon. And I was not buying a handgun, I was buying a rifle, which in most States you don’t need to be a resident, only a handgun purchase requires that.
  21. Thanks Shawn for staying on top of this. I don’t know what you can do about the ATFE not allowing us to purchase a gun with a PMB but the County Tax Asseor should accept the PMB if they are going to let us registure our vehicles, and take our money and registure to vote using a PMB. As far as ATFE, if the State of SD recognizes a PMB and we pass the Federal Bacground Check then we should be allowed to purchase. The ATFE is violating our Constitional right by forcing the merchants to deny us our rights.
  22. Because I don’t have WiFi most of the time. Im not as high tech as you docj.
  23. Yes Kirk, in the future I will just go to Wells Fargo and get a Cashiers Check payable to Pennington County and mail it into them. By the way after several calls to Escapees I have not had anyone call me back. I think Escapees is dropping the ball on this one. I know it is a minor point that can be corrected with a Cashiers Check but the issue regarding buying a weapon needs to be resolved. The only alternative is to avoid Schields, Cabellas and Runnings and purchase from a Mom and Pop store.
  24. Reminds me of an old Jonny Cash song “One piece at a time”.
