  1. Shouldn't your Traveller align itself, even if it's been a few miles since it last locked onto a bird? It should adjust it's skew, etc. as part of it's aiming procedure.
  2. How capable at minor repairs are you? How willing to deal with a thousand little things going wrong, at the worst time, are you. What would you consider to be too much money? It's an old rig, with unknown issues, so you need to be prepared to accept that. Personally, I'd cap it at around $3500. Beyond that price, repairs could eat you alive.
  3. The start button has a backlight. It's used to give info to the user about the generator. In the event of a fault, the light will flash a coded sequence, ro minimize the trouble shooting needed. The list of fault codes is available online, or in the owners manual.
  4. How do you start the generator? That's the control panel. If you don't have a LCD display, showing hours of run time, there's a light behind the Start button that will flash a code.
  5. Without the fault codes, guessing is a fools game. The control panel should have been flashing a code, or if it has the LCD screen, it would have been on there.

Well, Dan and Bree left this morning, heading north to Alaska. It was fun catching up with them, after the National rally. Between my work, Dan's work, and some medical issues, we didn't spend as much time hosting as I'd have liked. Got to get better at that.
  7. Yup, essentially. There's a 100 ways to do it, but your single line above would work. Of course, fuses, relay grounds, etc, etc have been omitted.
  8. You would need to pick up the reverse light signal from the truck, and tie it into the switched leg going to the lights.
  9. The Campendium website appears to be based on a MailChimp template. The layout of RVParkReviews or CampgroundReviews, as it's now known, looks to be their own. Probably not the most original design, but probably not intentional plagiarism. ETA: If I was a Copyright lawyer, I might have a different opinion.
  10. That's what happens when it's rainy. Thanks for coming back and updating us. It's all moot, anyway, as long as everything else is working.

The first arrival is on scene. Dan and Bree got in last night, but Dan's been working, and the weather hasn't been real conducive to outside activities. Hopefully, it'll improve, and we can get some fun activities going.
  12. Since the OP hasn't responded, we're all throwing dust into the wind, anyways.
  13. I think "copying" is a rather strong statement. Both sites look to be configured to work well on both a computer screen, or mobile device. The page layout suggests this, and is also on many, many other websites.
  14. If one wanted to make the connection bullet proof, a bead of silver solder could be added to the very tip, but a good twist connection should work, too. I don't have one to open, but the electronics needed to add T/C input would be small. Given that the OP didn't say anything about 2 wires inside the blue lead leads me to cast a jaundiced eye to the manufacturer.
  15. If you want to experiment, strip back the blue sheathing. Inside should be 2 separate wires, jacketed individually. Strip the ends, and twist them together. Assemble the receptacle as usual, keeping the twisted ends closer to the 2 current carrying conductors, rather than the ground wire. If there isn't 2 separate conductors inside the blue sheath, I call b.s. on the thermocouple shutdown.

Been better all day. Behind the scenes guys might have been doing upgrades. Shrug.
  17. How close to the border are you looking? At a week out, depending on your travel speed, you could be well into boondocking country for the May Long.

Wait. It's the weekend. Send a "help ticket" to the office. ETA: It's not just you.
  19. Probably not. AT&T partners with Telus, in Canada, but the Mobley plan probably won't roam. Call AT&T.
  20. Use my trick to get free services from businesses that forget how customer service works. Open an account, get the service, close the account. Let the manager know it would have been cheaper to just offer the service, than go through all the effort to avoid offering it.
  21. 240 Ravelco Anti-Theft devices: Craigslist. In all seriousness, this could be a group buy deal.
  22. Not the cheapest, but probably the most robust plastic fenders: Minimizer
  23. What Jim said. When (if) time comes to test the thermostat, use a piece of cardboard to block off the rad and go for a run. Will also test the fan switch. Don't forget to keep an eye on the temp gauge.
