  1. Howdy! My daughter sent me a e-mail staying Texas is having a Hurricane preparedness tax sale this coming weekend. It pretends to sale of thing used to be prepared for Hurricane season (lumber, batteries, generators etc...). So if your in the need for a generator this would be a good time to pick one up. 2. Howdy! I would suggest if you are at the Escapees in Livingston, TX go into Livingston and talk to the Polk County Veterans Service Officer. Her name is Melissa Gates. Her office is located at 602 E Church street, Livingston, TX (936-327-6838). She can assist you filling any paperwork you may need. She helped me fill for my hearing loss, and a couple of appeals. But after four years with her help I received my rating including back pay. "Happy Trails" Chiefneon
  3. Howdy! We've been fulltiming for ten years now and we use to only make reservations on the big three (Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day). Last year especially traveling in the northeast we had to make reservations. We found that almost all the campgrounds/RV Parks were full of seasonal and long term folks. This left very few site for people like us that travel. "Happy Trails" Chiefneon
  4. Howdy! we had our custom matress made by King Koil. They made it the the exact measurements to our RV bed platform wichI had enlarged just a bit from when we purchased it. "Happy Trails" Chiefneon
  5. Howdy! Our new AT&T homebase is working great with good signal here at our property in Livingston at Escapees and our Maximum Signal booster. We also have a old unlimited 3G plan with Verizon. I have tried for years to upgrade it to 4G and Verizon would not without moving it to a data plan. I tried again when Verizon came out with the new unlimited plan. They would only do it if I also had a phone line also. So yesterday after 16 years with them I dumped Verizon and we are now totally AT&T. Would like to have kept duel coverage but Verizon just would not work with a long time customer. "Happy Trails" Chiefneon
  6. Howdy! The new 2016 and 2017 handle the cross winds a lot better. Especially the buffering behind large 18 wheelers. "Happy Trails" Chiefneon
  7. Howdy! Jack, we picked ours up at the Escapees mail center today. We are now up an running. I did have to make a call to AT&T CSR to find the internet site to activate it. Once I did that I simply had to turn the homebase off and back on again and it's working great. Below is the link to activitate it. https://www.att.com/checkmyorder/activations/activateDevice.rt "Happy Trails" Chiefneon
  8. Howdy! I just check on the status of my order at att.com/orderstatus. It shows to be delivered by FedEx tomorrow. It had been showing the order "in progress" with a delivery date 3-24 to 3-27. Looks like they got a shipment of the devices in. "Happy Trails" Chiefneon
  9. Howdy! I placed my order over a week ago. CS gave me a order number and a phone number for the new line. At that time they advised it would be shipped that day prior mail and should receive it in a couple of days. I've been checking online at att.com/order status using the phone number assigned and it showed "in progress". Did a online chat and was advised it was on back ordered but should be shipped soon 24-28 this month. I'm guessing they were overrun with new orders on this device due to the word getting around. 10. Howdy! I've been using USAA for insurance. At the Escapade last year I met Chris and Charles Yust. They gave me a quote that bet my previous insurance by $1,800.00 a year with same coverage. Needless to say I went with them National General. If you want give them a call 936-425-5041. Hope it helps. "Happy Trails" Chiefneon
  11. Howdy! Joel, I don't subscribe to DTV Now but I am bundled with DTV on our account with AT&T. We have some of the same problems trying to stream using the DTV app. I though it was due to a weak data signal but It may not be seeing these complaints regarding DTV Now. "Happy Trails" Chiefneon
  12. Howdy! Dave, I thought you folks were gone. It's never a surprise to me when I go into someplace and I know more about their product or service than they do. We had the same problem a few years ago when we were about to cross into the Canadian maritimes in Maine. Everyone I spoke to on the phone with CS or in a store had a different answer to my questions and that was Verizon. I'll let you know how this works out, I have high hopes for it. 13. Howdy! Joel, with that amount of data instead of DTV you may want to check into DTV Now a app used to stream DTV it cost less than DTV satellite service. "Happy Trails" Chiefneon
  14. Howdy! I was just about to pull the trigger and move one of my phones to Verizon when I found this last night on FaceBook. https://www.rvmobileinternet.com/atts-wireless-home-phone-internet-rural-plan-250gb-for-60month/ I called AT&T (888-333-6651) this morning about it. I asked if this plan was offered to me and advised them I was a fulltime RVer (had to explain that to them) gave them my Escapees address in Livingston, tx. They looked it up and advised the plan was offered to me. I signed up for the 250gb plan and was advised I could switch to the 500 at anytime if I wanted to. We are AT&T customers so already. I added the 250gb plan the our account with a two years contract no charge for the device or activation and with my wife is a AT&T retiree And receives a 50% discount, it only cost us $30.00 a month for 250gbs. So if your using Escapees mail address this should work for you short of the employee discount. As I read it this is a true hotspot. Unlike Verizon's hotspot where after you will be throttled to 10gbs after use. It states you subject to network management when on congested towers. "Happy Trails" Chiefneon
