    • It doesn't work that way. Unless the dog is intentionally releasing the brakes. It takes a significant amount of pressure, held for enough duration to charge thee air lines with enough pressure to maintain the button in. I'm still calling BS.
    • There was a call for a boycott of Cabela's related to their firearms sales and perceived association/support of the NRA, but this was after the merger with Bass Pro. The same boycott resulted in Dick's Sporting Goods deciding to end ammunition and firearms sales. There was a call for a boycott of L. L. Bean based on one of the Bean family member's campaign contributions during the 2016 election.
    • It's a hard call.  Very few tax specialists understand tax laws concerning (1) pastors, (2) retired pastors, and (3) fulltime RVing.  Earlier in my life I went to a pro to do my taxes and I ended up sitting there telling them the ins and outs of clergy taxes.  I decided fairly early on that if I had to tel them what to do I might as well do my own taxes.

Our denomination's pension's board puts out a tax guide for clergy and it pretty helpful - covering not only housing issues, but also stuff like unreimbursed mileage, office expenses, etc.
    • It makes a fun story, but it isn't at all true. Richard Cabela, the founder (Jim joined 2 years later) passed away back in 2014 Jim who is still living tried to protect the Sidney employees to keep the HQ there but failed to do so. I don't know anything about the children of the Cabela's except that Dick had 9 of them and 3 of them are listed as residing in Sidney. They had about 2000 employees at the HQ and were by far the largest employer in the Sidney area. I think they had only 200 or 300 employees back when I was calling on them but were the second largest employer to UPRR at that time. As near as I am able to learn, there are still about 500 employees at the Sidney location and most of the buildings are now for sale. Our son does not have a good opinion of many of the changes since Bass Pro took over.
    • Please! Follow up... Has anyone used Escapes Roadside Assistance? (Especially in Alaska where I live?) What was your experience? My CN is due to renew but every year the price goes up! I'd like to support Escapees too, but when we need help we really need it! All you who wrote about this last year... What happened?
