kb0zke
I want to add a radio or two in our 2016 F350. So I don't have to reinvent the wheel, has anyone done this? I'll need a pair of places where I can get ~20A. Many years ago it was fairly easy to find a place, but lately there seems to be a lot more stuff in the way. Darryl&Rita
Do you have the "Upfitter Package"? Factory switches on the dash? If you do, check your manual. There's a couple of higher amperage ones, with wire ends under the hood and under the dash. justRich
And if the truck has the upfitter switches then check YouTube - there are a number of video regarding connections, etc. Quote ~Rich
Chalkie
It was a pain, but I wired my radios directly to the battery with their own in-line fuses. Yaesu actually recommended this way as you can use a heavier gauge wire than what you will find in most vehicles.
