Wrknrvr
I am wondering if a record of convetred HDT sales on this forum should be recorded. Would this help anyone anyone that would need it in case they have a need. The value of the truck and any equipment attach including the bed. Also it might be a subject at the rally. I still cannot get to the rally as my business is open till October 15 th. But that date is going to be change next year so I can do more things on our fall trip south. Travel Safe,. SuiteSuccess
Vern, I think that would be valuable. David Dixon was obtaining his certification as an appraiser because of the fact the insurers are likely to base the value on commercial use of the truck so that a 10 year old truck with 500k miles may have a value of only $10-15,000. He wanted to appraise more realistic values. “Comps” might be of benefit in negotiations. 2006 Volvo 780 "Hoss" Volvo D12, 465hp, 1650 ft/lbs tq., ultrashift Bed Build by "JW Morgan's Custom Welding" 2017 DRV 39DBRS3 2013 Smart Passion Coupe "Itty Bitty" "Don't go around saying the world owes you a living. jkoenig24
Just keep in mind, a "more realistic" (higher) appraised valuation, WILL result in higher insurance premiums. Owners need to stake a careful balance. Too little insurance and, the insurer can cut you a check and KEEP your rig (after declaring it a total loss). Too much insurance and the premiums can really hurt. An insurance seminar would be great.
SuiteSuccess
John, I looked into a seminar several years ago for the ECR. The “experts” who said they would do it basically wanted to sell their products rather than just deliver factual information which is what we need. 2006 Volvo 780 "Hoss" Volvo D12, 465hp, 1650 ft/lbs tq., ultrashift Bed Build by "JW Morgan's Custom Welding" 2017 DRV 39DBRS3 2013 Smart Passion Coupe "Itty Bitty" "Don't go around saying the world owes you a living.
