East Coast Rally Housekeeping

For new attendees, thought I would post some clarifications of some of the activities and what to expect.

A formal schedule will be presented and electronically available soon, but please understand times and subjects can change due to unforeseen circumstances involving presenters. Formal seminars will be presented on searching for an HDT, consideration of a brand new truck, conversion to an HDT hauler, lighting requirements, hitch comparisons and other info for the "new to HDTs". We will also be presenting topics of relevance to traveling, camping safety and more advanced topics (project oriented) to truck or trailer modifications.

From the social activity standpoint we usually have a " potluck" meal on Sunday evening and Wednesday evening. Last year we had more food than needed for each meal, so we plan on having each rig only responsible for a food item on ONE of the two days rather than both meals. We also will have a BBQ dinner on Friday 28th provided by Deer Run. Both the Sunday and Wednesday meals will be followed by some fun activities including "Chinese Bingo" on Wednesday. At that event each rig (not person) should bring a wrapped gift valued at $20 or less for prizes. Anyone wishing to attend the Cumberland County Playhouse should go http://www.ccplayhouse.com/ and purchase their tickets for the Friday April 28 show at 7:30 pm. They do sellout but usually are available up to a few weeks before the show. "Spirits" night will be a tasting of beverages with or without alcohol associated with the happy hour. BTW happy hours usually encourage those attending to bring a snack &/or beverage to share with the group.

This year we will also have a pin board available for anyone attending the rally wishing to post a "for sale or trade item". This IS NOT to allow a bunch of commercial vendors but you will see business cards and flyers from some of the commercial vendors that have contributed time, effort, and have been long time members of the HDT family. Unsolicited flyers or cards from vendors or sellers not attending the rally or presenting will not be allowed unless in my judgement the product might be of general interest to a majority of attendees.

We also plan on having a "freebie" table for any item you may want to give away after cleaning out truck or trailer. If you don't want it, guarantee someone else will.

Finally, will update as info changes. If anyone has general questions or suggestions for the group as a whole please post here so we can make it interactive. Anyone with a question for Donna or me, feel free to email a ecrcarl@gmail.com. Looking forward to making this the largest and best ECR to date.

Rocky,

The BBQ is at 5:00 pm and is finished well before the playhouse. The show is "Million Dollar Quartet" opening Friday night the 28th. Everyone can follow this ticket link. Just click on Friday and a seating chart will appear. Click on a green dot and that will reserve that seat, then hit next and follow the prompts. We are center back row M seats 108 -113. There are still seven seats on M available if you want to join Donna, myself, Gail & Steve, Tom &Sandy Whitten.

Whatever you do, DO NOT get seats on M row..... That is known as the trouble row..... The people that sit there drive big trucks and throw popcorn at you..... Snoring is also known to be heard from that crowd! :P:D

Just got our tickets today for the play on Friday the 28th. Did not look like a lot of seats left, so you are planning on going you might want to go online and get them.
