SIBERNUT
You guys all probably know about this- but I just saw an ad for a thermostatically controlled water hose www.pirithose.com
chirakawa
Reading the specs there, it appears it is designed for farm and garden use. Is it approved for drinking water? I couldn't find the pressure ratings.
rdickinson
I'm more worried about the water taste with it not being a white hose. My 2 water filters are in a double milkcrate covered in 3 layers of poly and a 25watt lite bulb inside to prevent freezing. I'm tempted to get it. whatsnext
We have one and it works great. A little bulky since it comes in 25' & 50' lengths but it makes quick work of prepping for cold temps. David
RV_
Wow! I used a thermostatically heating cable I taped to a hose and then wrapped with insulation. That heat cable ten feet long, cost half what that heated hose cost. No-brainer there. Thanks. The drinking water cert is also in the FAQs here: http://www.pirithose.com/faq.php

lappir
You guys all probably know about this- but I just saw an ad for a thermostatically controlled water hose www.pirithose.com I bought on of those several years ago when it was to get below freezing at the HDT Rally. Didn't actually need it for the rally but did use it in Iowa later that month. It only lasted maybe a month. Came home one day to see these beautiful rain bows against the side of my trailer. Found multipule pin holes in the hose and it was just spraying all over. Did get my money back from the seller but they wanted to have the hose. Said I wouldn't pay to ship a 50 foot hose so they accepted the ends to prove I didn't still use it. Haven't found the need again. Rod
