Barbaraok Posted December 10, 2014 Report Posted December 10, 2014 Every so often I post something, it appears to be there, but when I look at the thread later in the day (or the next day) it isn't there. If it had only happened once, I'd dismiss it, but it is happening every 3-4 days so I'm beginning to feel there must be a subtle message that I'm not getting. skp51443 Posted December 10, 2014 Report Posted December 10, 2014 I don't see any recently that have been hidden, if they were deleted by an admin I wouldn't see them. If you didn't report your post above the admins probably won't see it so you might want to do that. First rule of computer consulting: Sell a customer a Linux computer and you'll eat for a day. traviscarr Posted December 15, 2014 Report Posted December 15, 2014 Hello Barb, Admins only delete spam posts. I am not aware of anyone hiding anything recently either.

Jack Mayer Posted December 15, 2014 Report Posted December 15, 2014 Barb, some time ago I saw that happen to one of my posts. I posted it - it was there - but when I came back later to read additions to that thread mine was missing. Never did figure out why. I figured Stan did not like what I said and deleted it Jack & Danielle Mayer #60376 Lifetime Member Living on the road since 2000PLEASE no PM's. Alie&Jim's Carrilite Posted December 16, 2014 Report Posted December 16, 2014 There's a "Conspiracy against you, big brother is always watching"....LOL It's amazing how many of my posts get deleted off of Facebook and several other "open opinion" sites. LFDR3116 Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 There is currently a thread that had 10 or so responses last night - today there are only 4 showing. None were nasty or beligerent --- where did they all go? One of those responses was mine and it is now gone. Pat DeJong
skp51443 Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 Only folks that can answer questions about missing posts are the admins, they can hide them or delete them. Contact tehm via the report function and tell them where the missing posts used to be. First rule of computer consulting: Sell a customer a Linux computer and you'll eat for a day. wa_desert_rat Posted February 10, 2015 Report Posted February 10, 2015 I don't think it's the admins... I think something is up with the system. Twice today I have had posts disappear as soon as I hit the "POST" button. skp51443 Posted February 10, 2015 Report Posted February 10, 2015 I sent in a report asking about the issue, likely will have to be bumped up to James if it is a forum glitch. bigjim Posted February 10, 2015 Report Posted February 10, 2015 Seems to have happened to me on this very thread a little earlier. I thought it had happened on another thread but I just found it, kind of like it was delayed. Most of the time in my case I attribute it to "pilot error".

LFDR3116 Posted February 10, 2015 Report Posted February 10, 2015 It was under recipes - "all of you in your mid 60's" Asking about eliminating meat & potatoes for dinner because of age. You will see a post by me asking where all the prior comments went to. It's posts prior to that that disappeared. At least 5-6 disappeared. Pat DeJong

Chris-n-Dennis Posted February 15, 2015 Report Posted February 15, 2015 If you are in the thread that you believe is missing posts, try clearing your browser history/cache and then reload the page. You don't have to close the browser, simply use the tools or settings section to clear, then reload whatever page you are on. I have found that using white text such as this leaves blank spaces. So, any fault in memory is due to font color, not age!! Berkshire XL 40QL Camphosting and touring Our blog: cndtravels.blogspot.com
StarDreamers.us Posted October 28, 2015 Report Posted October 28, 2015 Missing Posts? Had the same thing happen to me the other day. My post may have been critical of what is happening to some of the Escapee RV parks and the new reservation system. I always thought FEEDBACK improved operations. But maybe not here. Safe Travels!
