Allow me to rephrase. I've never heard of a *current* cell plan that does not have unlimited talk and text. I doubt the OP has a plan from 20 years ago.

I rarely make reservations. When you're mostly a dry camper you don't need to, because all the newbies are looking for hookups. They don't know a water pump from a watt.

I've never heard of a phone plan that didn't have unlimited talk and text. I'd much rather get a reminder text than a call, which I'll likely miss and it'll go to voice mail, which I have "disabled" by allowing it to fill up to capacity because of all the spam voice mails, and Verizon's incredibly slow and annoying announcements about each message. I've also been seeing an increase in Spam texts. I guess the law doesn't matter to these people.

My Victron BMV-712 bluetooth is good for about 40'. The one little quirk is that it insists I have Location service turned on on my Android phone. I guess Verizon's updates or checks turn it off. Kinda annoying.

If you don't like your neighbors within spitting distance you may find the pay areas more amenable. The Hi Jolly free area, for example, is usually wall-to-wall, and I imagine now it's pretty crowded.
