scubadave
I am currently at Augies RV Park in Gila Bend. Had two trailer tires blow on I-8 Heading east from Yuma so I am here waiting for some new tires to come in so I can have new tread all the way around. Minor damage to the rig. Am attempting to contact Goodyear about their tires and the damage. I will be here at least another week as the local tire shop said they would have the tires by Thursday at the latest. I did not want to go any further with two possible weak tires. Pam Ridgely
Hi Dave, Â Sorry about your bad luck. Were you traveling I-8 east out of Yuma on fri. 2/16? If so, I think we saw you just as you were coming thru the inspection station. We were westbound in the Peterbilt pulling a Teton and a Ford explorer tagging along.... scubadave
Pam: That was probably me. I was busy watching the agent waving at me to make sure he was out of the way. I did see a couple other HDT's heading west during my time on I-8. strawdog
Just west of Phoenix in Buckeye probably until the beginning of April. Don't believe we'll make this a destination again -- too big a city for us country-preferring folks, and it appears to be one of the most kid-UNfriendly places we've been. Took days of researching to find a place big enough to fit in that would allow kids. Guess nobody else likes to have their grandkids visit!
