Danandfreda
How in depth do you go as far as having your Insurance, registration and rules for driving hdt in the state you are domiciled in. Do you print out the whole rules of the road book or just the pages that pertain to Rvs being exempt from cdl? Trying to get these things done while we are still in our house with internet and printer, thanks.

Dan, Just the necessary pages, i.e. state statute of license required to operate RV, statute exempting RV from CDL, statute as to location of license plate on RV. If you hand your binder to an LEO in another state they aren’t going to wade through a novel. Danandfreda
Thanks Carl that’s what Freda told me but I wanted to check. I’m not going to tell her she was right. See you in April

Other nice thing is have all those papers in a binder (mine are separated in plastic sleeves) with a table of contents in the front. That way if the LEO asks you can politely ask if he would like the binder to look at. Just make it conspicuous that you have everything he could ever need in an easy to read organized fashion. If you pull a folder of loose papers and are shuffling them trying to find what he is asking for, it will make the situation worse for you. Also I believe it’s LexisNexis that has most of the statutes. Big5er
Dan, my opinion would be to use your states actual web sight to obtain and print the documents, not a 3rd party site. The states sight will have the latest available, newest udpates. You and the cop roadside can't swear to the reliability of 3rd party sights. rickeieio
Dan, I believe the Resource Guide has links to all the states statutes. I printed the page(s) that applies to me, highlighted the pertinent lines, and slipped them in sleeves. I made a copy of my state's affidavit stating I'd converted to M/H too. I have one sleeve for registrations (truck/trailer), and another for insurance. Total of three sleeves, so I skipped the index page. I also highlight the expiration dates on all the above documents. I actually had a Texas Highway Patrol thank me for making his job easy. This binder is also a handy place to keep maintenance records, which the officer may notice.😉 Carl, if you do a seminar on this, I have three slim 3 ring binders I can donate. SuiteSuccess
Rick, Shorty, I mention the binder in the seminar on “Why an HDT?”. Maybe we bring some for illustration? Hi Rick, I like your thinking about a seminar on doing a binder. I have a binder myself, but I have always wonder if it needs improvement. 2X on a short seminar on binders.
