Put enough fuel to make it to Nevada, back home Diesel is $4.08 a gal. Got to Lovelock NV and put in 160 gals at $3.35 a gal. That was the good news, the bad news is I stopped at a rest stop 20 miles west of Winnemucca NV on Hwy 80 and while walking around the truck I smell gear oil and see some slung on the front of the 5th wheel. Look under the truck and right rear wheel seal decided to give up and was puking oil. Drove into Winnemucca and call repair shops at 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon. Found a guy but cant get to me until Monday. So I guess its time to explore the town of Winnemucca tomorrow. Sure glad I'm retired and not on a schedule. We were planning on a 4-5 day stay. It turned into 16 days, with the first week having to stay in the shop while theyfixed stuff (bedroom slide floor), and installed a BigFoot system. We enjoyed it, taking the motorcycles out to tour the area, finding hidden gems in the countryside. We'll go back. Oh, fuel there was $2.68 a couple miles off the freeway. He came and got me 70 miles north on 95 outside of Winnemucca when my trailer through A bearing. Fixed my trailer. He also has a big O tire shop there and I believe he works on big rigs as well. We will be at New Frontier RV Park on the east end of town. We head out Monday for a week of SXS riding before heading to the WCR. Maybe we can say hi. What's the old saying, "when you get lemons you make lemonade" Sounds like you found a nice place by accident. We took a ride thru town here, but didn't see much. There were a few casinos. I'm not superstitious but with my luck lately I didn't even go in. I'm also looking forward to those low diesel prices the further we go east.
