Tina & Jeff, you've really outdone your rain makin' talents this time. Hope that you are both okay and hanging in there. Let us know when you can on how it's going down there in Texas. Good thing they hadn't broken ground on your house. It would be a swimming pool of mud and water by the sounds of it!

R

We've had continuous rain for the last 3 hours and it's not going to let up for a while. Also get a gust of wind every now and then too. When it's all done we may get up to a foot of rain.

We are glad they haven't started on the house yet too. Hope it doesn't delay the start next month too much.

Travel safe everyone.

Jeff   :)

A swimming pool in the basement is not a bad thing. :)

We are lucky. Only got about 4-5 inches of rain and some winds that would shake the rv. They've taken off the flash flood warning for our area. I'm sure everyone has seen on the news what has happened in other parts of Texas. Harvey has made a mess of things, so keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

I'm not sure if Facebook killed the thread or if what I hear about some of the original group wanting to split things up is the cause but regardless it seems we got in on the tail end of the party and you are right, this thread is for all practical purposes lost it's luster.

As far as football goes you know that I'm a KC fan and Diane is a cheaters,,,,,,, I mean Patriots fan so it was a interesting night here LOL!! And it was her birthday to LOL!!! None the less KC made one good opening season statement last night. I do know that watching the late games while on east coast time sucks LOL!!

 Stay well down there.

I thought you'd like last night, I forgot Diane was for the other team. If I'm not rooting for my Broncos I'll be pulling for the team from the west. Watching in the Eastern time zone sucks. Broncos are on very late Monday night. Crazy. You made me LOL!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DIANE!

Well, as a Bostonian (GO PATS!!!)  i don't want to talk about last nights game. The Chiefs brought their A game, for sure.

i will say that I think the group has morphed over to Facebook to a great degree.

Did you stay up last night to watch the Football game (Chargers-Broncos)? I was flipping between football and baseball (Rockies- D-backs) and they both were nail biters at the end. My "teams" got the win. The football game started way too late. It was almost 12:30 am when it ended. It was like being in the Eastern time zone.

Going to warm back into the 90's again. Summer is not over yet.

Travel safe everyone.

Good thing you are retired, you can stay up all night and watch the games.  Where we are at in Tennessee, the rain has kept our temperatures cool, 58 now and high was in 70's today and still raining.

Whaaaat no-one is posting!!  Ok, I'll try one.  We finally pulled the stakes loose from Oklahoma and headed to Colorado.  We made it to the Elks Lodge in North Glenn and threw out the anchor.  Both of us have come down with bad colds and we are just laying here sniffling and sneezing, so not too much going on.  This place is a rather full parking lot with electric only and the dump at Cabalas about 5 miles or so down the street.  The good part is it's $10 a night and only 9 miles from my sister's house.  We did venture out for breakfast one morning and found a place called Delectable Eggs to sniffle our way into.  Fantastic array of eggs benedict, crab benedict, salmon benedict and more.  Got lucky on that one for sure.  My sister just bought a condo near here and we got the grand tour the day before yesterday.  Right on a golf course and in a semi gated community.  Really nice, but no wheels!!  This was a downsize for them as they both decided they didn't want to keep up with house & yard maintenance any more. I told her that we had the same thoughts and that we cruise around until we find a spot that's already mowed and park there.  Hmmmm  I have to go take some more cough medicine (ugh) so I'll sign off for now.  BUT I will return!!    Steve

This is a time of year when it's hard to decide if it's a cold or allergy. Especially when you've just arrived at a new location. For me, the only way to know for sure is that a cold only last 7-10 days; any longer and it an allergy. Real helpful, huh?

Okay, here we are back in North America.  That other type of travel is not for us.  London is huge and so busy and noisy.  I am not much of a sleeper and jet lag didn't help matters.

We got to experience a great English wedding.  Third cousin Natalie tied to knot.  It was so much fun and I got to meet relatives I had never met.

So now we are in Niagara Falls (for the 1st time) and will see what there is to see.  Three days here and then we will "cross over".

Travel safe.

Welcome to Colorado. Since you are in Northglenn (one word!) and like breakfast, you have to try First Watch on the other side of I-25/120th from Delectable Egg -

Hmmmm million dollar bacon :o,  sounds like that could cure a cold.  If I don't get busted for carrying a cold over two state lines that is!

Dave, all you have to do is put your bus on auto pilot and it will drive itself right to Red Bay.  There is a secret homing device they put on all of their units that , if activated, will go straight home.  I think they started doing that in 2014.  It's usually an unlabeled button, so be carefull!!

Linda, yep, this is definitely a cold and a doozie at that.  Have to go to sam's and get the large bale of Kleenex before this is over.  My head hurts, but that's from Carol banging on it for giving her the cold.

Toni, sounds like you guys had a great time in merry old England.  I too would rather travel by bus than get in a plane.  I don't fit in those things any more.

You're right Linda, IYQ sure kept us on our toes.  I sure miss the old guy.  I haven't had to hide the ice cream machine in so long I forgot where I put it.          almost:ph34r:

Oh yeah, did watch the Packers trounce the Seahawks, and Oklahoma put it on the Buckeyes!!   yeeeee haaaaawwwww!!

Went by our property today and they were getting ready to break ground. WooooWoooo!!!

Sorry to hear about your colds Steve. It  may be a little farther away but did you check into the Westminster Elks? Cabelas is probably the closest place to dump from there too.

Toni glad your trip went well. It's good to be home.

Seems like most Tiffins make that annual migration to Red Bay. LOL.

We all miss IYQ.

Hmmm I've only owned my Tiffin since 2010.  While I like my coach, should I trade it off I will not replace it with another Tiffin product.  Oh, and it hasn't yet made the trip to Red Bay.  I have found far more competent folks, in my opinion, to work on it much closer to home.

It has been so long you may not remember us. We have limited WIFI time, so not posting.

We are in Ohio. Monday I leave for Culbertson, MT. to work the Sugar Beet Harvest. Diane will stay here with her daughter. She will be having surgery on October 5 for her eyes.

Some of you know I am an instructor for RV Driving school and that is keeping me busy. I am at most of the Boot Camp gathering.

Talking about the football game. I ask if they make homeruns in that game.

This is our second Tiffin product and as far as motorhomes go we can't complain. I don't think there will be a third however. If and when we make a change I think it will be to a 5th wheel when we start sitting in spots longer. Not this year and probably not next year but the year after, well who knows.

I sure hope that Jeri and Terry got out of the PNW before this batch of storms moved in.  Trying to sleep last night was almost as bad as it was back in 09 when we were in Mexico Beach.  Difference was that back then it was steady all night long, here it was different showers about 30 minutes apart all night long.  Almost has to be some flooding around the Seaside area today.

Oh well, we are warm and dry, so let the weather do what it wants to do.  The PNW sure needs the moisture.  That said, we are going to head into Astoria today and visit the Maritime Museum again.

Travel Safe,

Joe
