Hope everyone had a good Valentine's Day. I did.

Our builder says maybe 60 days before they are done but we think it will be less. Running power and water to the house now. The schedule says the house is about 85% done. Still hope to be moving in by April 1.

Since mid December there have been more days below average temperatures than above. Average is around 65. Lots of cloudy days, It's been ugly  at times. Some days remind me of the Oregon coast. Gray, drizzling - Yuck. May be in Arizona next winter.

Travel safe everyone.

Jeff   :)

I've tried to check your blog out several times and noticed it's no longer available to us to read.  So, how's the house coming?

Tina decided to shut it down since we weren't moving, maybe when we travel again she'll post on it again.

The house is nearing completion. I think we'll be moving in next month.

You coming to Texas, stop by for a visit?

We are heading to Texas.  It's a family get together first part of April.  I'm not sure how far south we'll make it since we're actually on our way to Ennis and Arkansas.  Would love to connect if possible!

Is yours going to be anything like Porter's Party Place? I think they have to run away from home to get any peace and quiet. :)

LOL!

We love having company in the yard! We were alone for the first time since early Nov. last week and we didn't know what to do with ourselves! Luckily we have people coming back on Sunday!

oh, and for those times when we DO need to escape, we will do it in style! We took delivery of a new truck camper today.  A little smaller than the one we had, but new.  We will still keep the 5th wheel for longer trips.

Not even close. I think our motorhome can be at the house for 3 days to load or unload. There is Potters Creek COE about 6 miles away though right on Canyon Lake. No pool or hot tub either. Sorry. :)

The blog has been opened up again. Nothing on the travel side but lots of house updates are there.

Been a while since we posted so here's a quick update.  We are also working on a house.  We bought a park model small home in Yuma and after renovating for a couple of months, just moved in.  We have been coming to this area in the winter for most of the years we were full timing, and can't seem to get away so we made a (winter getaway) here.  We are in Fortuna de oro park, and have a place to store the motorhome here also.  Paul & Sue, Mike & Julie, Maryjane & Tom, and Randy & Liz have all visited us and although we don't have RV parking at the house, the park always has a few spots for visitors so "come on down"!!  Now we have to decide what to keep in the motorhome and what to move  aarrggghhh!!  We live on the corner by the golf course, so we manage to gather golf balls every day.  I've got a nice set, but none of them match.  Hmmmm   Think i will open up shop next door to the pro shop and see if i can make a few bucks.  Steve

I was thinking of you two today. I don't know if you've been reading my blog but I have returned to the hobby of building Lego kits. Today I was working on a photography studio. Can you imagine seamless made from Lego bricks? When I finish the second floor of the three buildings in the Assembly Square kit I will post pictures that will include the photography studio.

Congrats on the new house! We may be by next winter. We had too many cloudy days this past winter. Visitor parking is very handy.

We will be in Phoenix the end of May for our youngest Granddaughters high school graduation.

But, what a gorgeous house it was! All those special nooks for various kinds of photos. It must have been hard to leave all that behind. Especially given the jerk who "bought" it.

They closed it, but still serve bar food, which is pretty good.  Sorry to see it go as it was a great place to eat!

Wow, Linda.  I never knew they made Lego kits like this.  I can't imagine what they cost.  Even the little ones we buy for grandchildren are expensive.  We both loved to play Lego with the kids.  Good for you.

Well it's about time I posted something so you all don't think we have dropped off the planet.

Like almost all our original group, we have decided to change things up.  We have lots of options and I will keep you up to date as we go along.

At least one home base is in our future, maybe one in British Columbia and another in Arizona.  The big rig will do us while we decide and then we will be downsizing that   Something easier to get around in but still comfortable to live in for a couple of months at a time.

We are going to go slow and explore all options and will probably spend the fall and early winter in Canada.  Ya never know.

They are expensive. Which is why I'm preparing to sell them to have funds to buy new ones. Wait until you see my next blog: Lego RVs. I just have to build the Class B first.

Tina and I met with Jeri and Terry today for a BBQ lunch in Blanco today. It was good to see them again and catch up on some of the news. If your ears were ringing you know why. They say they'll be back in the fall so maybe we can spend more time with them. :)

We had a walk thru at our house yesterday and looks like we'll start moving in by the end of the month.  It will be a new adventure.

Travel safe everyone.

Wow, seems like lots going on with everyone.  Linda entering the Construction Trades, Tina and Jeff about to move into their new house, Steve and Carol getting a new place, and Toni and Doug talking about setting up a new home base.  And that doesn't begin to cover the rest of the group traveling all over God's Creation.

As for me, I'm still parked up here in the PNW.  We have made a couple of trips to the Oregon Coast in the last month or so, but stayed in Condo's.  My poor MH is probably stuck to the ground by now as it hasn't moved in the last 8 months.  And now it's time for this boy to go back to work for a while.

I will share this picture I got while on our last trip down to depot Bay, OR.

Well, I think we are the last of our original group to change our wandering ways.  We have leased a house, truly a house, 3 bdrms etc.for the summer.  Come September we will figure out what we want to do, find another house, apt or condo or go on the road in our new RV.   We traded the 38' motor home for a 30' what they refer to as a "B" class.  I can drive this one and that will make it easier on Doug.  Maybe short trips.  Maybe we will have Christmas in Canada.  Who knows?

Meanwhile, we are right in the middle of wine country in Naramata, BC which is just up the lake from Penticton and we have a big driveway.  Come and visit.

Thanks, as for the picture it was pure luck.  Saw the first jump but couldn't get the camera up in time, on the second jump I waited to long and just got the splash, but the third time was charm.  According to the Ranger at the Whale Watch Center there in Depoe Bay, these big boys jump 3 times then seem to disappear.

Toni, how far from Lac LaHache is Naramata?

Teri, are you guys going to be at your place in S. WA this summer?

Long range plans, written in the sand, are for me to be in the Yuma area in December this year.

4 hours and 54 minutes but you could alter your route a bit and come only a little way out of your way.
