"&" is a special character that has its own meanings in computer languages. You can try "+" if you want since it is more likely to work.

Linda

Thanks Linda. I went with a "+" instead of "&" and the "+" didn't print. O well, Tina says to write out the word "and".

Daylight savings time again. Fall back one hour.

We met Jerry and Janice for breakfast yesterday and if your ears were ringing you know why. LOL. It was great to see them again. Wish they could've stayed longer.

We went to Wurstfest on Sunday (my birthday) and last night again. Lots of great food, BEER and polka music. You haven't lived until you've heard Ozzy Osbourne's song Crazy Train done by a polka band (Alex Meixner Band). Great fun. Wooo Wooo!!!!

That sounds similar to our recent Coachnet experience. The first tow truck was too small. When the second one did arrive, it took six hours to go 17 miles. The Beave is such a low rider that climbing under to disconnect the drive shaft can be a real challenge. There was some real "colorful language" emitted from under there!
The Cat shop replaced the alternator yesterday and I was told that the test drive went well. Of course, the other issues remain and I will have to find an RV repair place that can handle them. However, when I went to pick it up and started it, the Alladin system was showing that my house batteries were drawing 22 amps and I quickly shut it down. Tried to restart it and no joy. Perhaps, they were low and drawing too big a load for the new alternator to handle. It may or may not be fried...haven't heard back from the shop yet.
As a warning to you boon dockers. From what I've lately read... Run your generator for 30 to 60 minutes BEFORE starting the coach engine.  Let the generator and inverter charge up at least the coach batteries before starting the coach's engine.

We really enjoyed our visit with Jeff and Tina. Hope to see their new house when it is finished,  the next time we visit.

After visiting with Jeff and Tina and talking about everyone, we got to thinking about Lee (IYQ), we decided to stop  in Deming, NM. Lee talked about the Adobe Deli so much and took his friends there to eat.  Anyway we had to eat there tonight,  Food was as good as Lee said and a very interesting place.

Turkey is high protein low calorie; eat lots of it. My treat this year is the pumpkin pie filling without the crust. :)

Tap, tap. Is this thing on?

I think most of the others are on Facebook. They rarely post here anymore. I'm not on Facebook. O well.

We got SNOW last night here in the San Antonio area. Maybe a couple of inches on the grass and cars. Second earliest snow in history here. Most schools are on a 2 hour delay. LOL! People are going nuts. Local TV was breaking into shows last night to talk about the snow.

Our house is going pretty quick we think. Check it out on our blog.

Travel safe everyone.

That's one of the reasons I hate facebook! Everyone disappears from previous communication channels. Once again I am missing IYQ; he did a good job of keeping this thread going.

Although there are certainly things to dislike about Facebook, unfortunately for other platforms, its VERY easy to share updates, pictures and random thoughts, and have a "conversation" in real time. Being able to post a picture from my phone, with the flick of a wrist, so to speak, makes it much easier than posting on a forum.   To me, that's just too much of a bonus to ignore.  Just because its different, doesn't make it bad!

It's not being different that makes me dislike it; it's that so many people disappears from previously popular communication channels.

I just wanted you to know that we have not "disappeared".  I read this forum almost everyday.

Facebook is a wonderful medium.  Without it I never would have been reunited with my son.  I have reconnected with dozens of childhood friends. We can see pictures of our many grandchildren and there day to day doings.

I will continue to post on the forum when I see fit.
