Wanderin
Same thing. I didn't realize it was Sandie either until I read the last line. Maybe she was trying to be incognito! Sandie & Jim
I don't have a clue as to why my ID shows up the way it does. That happened with the last change they made to the forum. And being as computer challenged as I am - I don't have a clue how to change it. So just know this really is me. We're at the kids house outside of Santa Fe. And the weather is beautiful. But I must admit - I miss the big fridge and shower that we left in AJ. I know that in the not too distant future, I will never say "I sure miss my small fridge and small shower". Glad you are on the road. Have fun and be safe. bigjim
I don't remember how I did it but in the settings I was able to get back to bigjim so I could recognize myself. It wasn't too hard as I recall. The weather about 50 miles south of you at your Santa Fe location is good too. (Tijeras, NM)
Sandie & Jim
Thanks bigjim. I finally figured out how to get it changed but they sure don't make it easy to find. This weather sure does beat the 105 stuff down in the Phoenix area. Sandie & Jim
We seem to be trapped here in UT. The wind just won't give up. 40 mph gusts today and 60 mph gust tomorrow. But hopefully that is the end of it so we can get moved further north. palamine
Well it wasn't far, just 189 km, but we moved. Beautiful park on Wood Lake, in Lake Country. We are just 10 minutes from the RV dealership where our motorhome awaits. Please let it be soon. Wanderin
Just thought it was time to bring this back up to the top again. Then, I thought I'd also ask about fall plans. Any interest for anyone to spend a "few" days at the Balloon Festival in New Mexico? palamine
We are now the proud owners of a 2013 Thor Challenger. 37.8 feet, 3 slides and tons of bells and whistles. We worked like maniacs to move from one rig to the other in Kelowna's hottest day yet this year. But we did it and rolled into Monck Park just as the sun was setting. Driving a motorhome for the first time is quite the experience but only one wine glass got broken. Towing the trailer empty seemed to be no problem for the motorhome. Monday we will be towing the trailer and the car over the Coquahalla summit so that will be a real test. We warranteed it big time so should be fine. steved44
Congratulations you guys, only sacrificing one wine glass on the maiden trip is not too bad. At least it wasn't full! Main difference in driving one of these things is knowing how wide you are. When we first got ours, I had a spot picked out on the wiper blade where if you lined that up with the white line on the edge of the road you were "centered in the lane". Worked fine until it started raining one day........ Sounds like a great unit. With a gas chassis, this will be slow going and be especially careful going back down. If you have not done so, I'd suggest you get everything weighed at the first opportunity to be sure you are not overloading the rear axle. Sandie & Jim
5.8 earthquakes were not in my plans for the summer. But 12:30 this morning, I woke up with my heart trying to get out of my body. Jim didn't even budge until I woke him up. He said "it's the wind" and back to sleep. Definitely not the wind. Wanderin
Eek! Can't imagine being in an RV and an earthquake at the same time. That's pretty scary for sure. Wow, Toni. Five earthquakes in the 5th wheel? That would certainly be no fun at all. Let's hope no more earthquakes for anyone. sandsys
We were in an earthquake in California in our Winnebago View. Small enough that I thought some jokesters were shaking the rig. The earthquake we experienced back when we were in a house just made the stove burners rattle; I thought that was just a big truck driving by. I NEVER want to experience a big one!
