sherryh
I was wondering if anyone has traveled from interstate 80 to McCarran and around to 395? was wondering if it's ok with a 35' 5th wheel
Tahoe Shark
I might be of some help but I need more info. Which way are you coming from and where are you going. I-80 intersects 395 and has exits to 395 from east and west. Do you need to go on McCarran and what direction on McCarran? Kirk W
If you are planning to travel on I-80 I would think that there should be no problem since big rigs of all sorts travel over it daily. What sort of problems are you anticipating? Good travelin !...............KirkFull-time 11+ years...... sherryh
we are coming from quartzite and going to oregon and we always go reno but the big hills we go very slow and was wondering if the sparks way was a better route, taking us around the mountain. Tahoe Shark
My advice is to just follow I-80 west and take the 395 north exit and take that all the way. You can go through Alturas and then up to Klamath Falls or cut over to I-5 at Weed. Reno and Sparks are really the same and run together. McCarran will be of no help to you at all. I am still not sure about your comments about the mountains unless you mean donner summit, but that would be going west. i tow my 42" from Reno/Sparks to Oregon all the time with no issues at all. If you are heading to far eastern Oregon you can catch hwy 95 at Winnemucca and go north.
