Chad&Jen Posted September 24, 2016 Report Posted September 24, 2016 A quick recap that the DW and I are total noobs still looking to purchase our first rig. My better half is a wee thing of 5'1" and is concerned that she will struggle to reach the pedals with her slightly less than runway model-length legs. Even in our normal grocery-getter, her feet barely reach the floorboards. Do Volvo seats (stock or common replacements) offer enough adjustment to accommodate shorter folks? Are the pedals themselves movable? Thanks.

Jack Mayer Posted September 25, 2016 Report Posted September 25, 2016 Danielle is 5' 1" and reaches the pedals fine in the 2009 Volvo. HOWEVER, she could NOT reach the pedals in our 1999 Gen 1 truck. Gen 2 trucks have a slightly different layout for the seats/pedals... Jack & Danielle Mayer #60376 Lifetime Member Living on the road since 2000PLEASE no PM's. The steering column does tilt and telescope but she has a hard time finding the comfortable position for a long drive. Jim's Adventures Old Spacecraft.... Who knows whats next

phoenix2013 Posted September 25, 2016 Report Posted September 25, 2016 My air seat has the forward and back glider capability, great on long stretches in cruise control and feet on the floor. Not good in stop and go traffic, or takeoff, or stopping, I have to disable the feature in those situations.
oldride Posted October 4, 2016 Report Posted October 4, 2016 For years my mother drove with a pair of platform shoes at least 3-4 inches. she kept them behind drivers seat. Can't say I ever saw her walk in them. 2011 CAN-AM Spyder Rt SE5, 2010 Alpine 5th wheel, 1998 Vovlo VNL610 Hopefully 2 years 6 month till full time retirement.
