SQL Error

I had the same thing happen this morning. After about 2 hours, the error message went away and I was able to load the website.

Maybe a Win10 issue?

I just updated this desktop PC about two weeks ago.

It's okay at 2 pm 21 Jan. I have had issues with three different RV forum web sites the last two days - strange coincidence? Right now they all seem to be okay.

The computer crew at Livingston are looking into it, it seems to be working fine from HQ but giving outsiders errors. Right now it looks like most of the site is working and they are poking at it to see if they can see what was going wrong.

It isn't your computer in most cases and if you see a SQL error with a note in the bottom border saying "This is not a problem with IPS..." it is always an issue in the computer center of some sort.

Not a lot you can do to get an immediate fix after business hours but an e-mail to the club business office when they are open will alert the computer crew. An e-mail after hours will alert them to an ongoing or transient issue when the office opens so that isn't a bad idea.

If they are on the same community platform it might be a common attack, folks do like to try SQL injection attacks and even if they don't fail so badly the attacker gains access they can hose the database and require an admin to get it back running right.

Something else interesting here, check the new users using the "last 2 weeks" option and compare the usual number of new users before and after the 15th. Quite a big drop in the average number per day.

iRV2.net was off line for quite a while. Now the first thing you see is a page saying your browser is being checked.

According to the Admins on iRV2, they are experiencing a DDoS attack. Hopefully that's NOT what's happening here on Escapees.

A lot of work by folks at HQ went into getting things back up, James got his weekend badly disrupted!

Aside from the obvious stuff most folks have been seeing the new member process was also broken and we went many days with nobody able to sign up for an account.
