  1. Using the E470 toll calculator for 3 axels, from I70 west to I25 north (my truck and single axle travel trailer or 2 axle class A towing car): License Plate Toll ~ $26.90 With 4 axels, same route: (tow vehicle and 2 axle trailer) License Plate Toll ~ $40.35 With 5 axles (class A tandem rear and towed car): License Plate Toll ~ $53.80
  2. As an update on the viability of the advertised toll tag that is good everywhere, I just spoke with an employee of the north TX toll system (NTTA) about it. I had sent in an email inquiry about the validity of it and a nice lady called me from NTTA and she assured me that they do not honor the Toll Solution and that they have not been contacted by that organization and have no plans to add them.
  3. I have used the E470 Express Toll on several occasions to bypass Denver when going to WY and they are expensive ($28 each way) and the last time they didn't send a bill to the right address, then added a $79 late fee. I have the North Texas Toll Authority (NTTA-TollTag) transponder and they state the following: Use your TollTag to explore all of Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and most of Florida with the same ease and convenience. In the future, your TollTag may include additional access to the Orlando area of Florida, Georgia and North Carolina toll roads.
  4. There is no picture showing only an address. Where is your picture posted? The address should look something like this: https://image.cnbcfm.com/api/v1/image/107003560-1642635966764Winnebago_Industries_e-RV_Still.jpg?v=1642778315&w=630&h=354&ffmt=webp&vtcrop=y
  5. I would point out that nowhere on their site is there any listing of what toll systems will accept their tags. I just checked both TxTag and also NTTA(TollTag) from Texas and both list where their tags are honored but neither mention the "Innovative Toll Solution" as being honored. Innovative Toll Solutions claims to be honored on all toll roads. I just used the "contact us" from the NTTA to ask if it is honored. I would want to know for sure that it really is honored before I paid them $24/year.
  6. If you store the pictures in one of the online photo storage spaces you can simply use the "Other Media" tab and link to the pictures you want to use. Here are links to a few of them. Google Photo storage PhotoBucket DropBox ShutterFly
  7. So the question is, what do you want to power?
  8. Solar is a very broad term. It can be as simple as a small float charger for the chassis battery, costing only $20 from Amazon, or it can be as complicated as some of them from Chad Heiser that will enable you to use your air conditioners when parked without outside power. It just depends on what you want, the size of your budget, and your skill set.
  9. I believe that you have a GM, P-30 chassis and this link is for the chassis service manual. If you do not have one, here is a copy of the brochure that you can also download. I do believe that this owner's manual is also for your motorhome.
  10. You should have lots of room when you get to Florida as it seems that you are the only one going there! 😆
  11. It does and you need to visit this link for a fuse chart. A fuse would take out at least 2 headlights, however. https://www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_Content/vdirsnet/OwnerManual/Home/Content?variantid=6299&languageCode=en&countryCode=USA&Uid=G1963503&ProcUid=G1963504&userMarket=USA&div=f&vFilteringEnabled=False&buildtype=web
  12. We too have reached a point in life that we depend on our children at times in ways that they once relied on us. While we may regret the maladies of age, it very gratifying be to know that they are ready to step up for us in ways that we once did for our aging parents.
  13. Your best bet might to store it with a relative if any of them have a place to do so. Inside commercial storage space is quite expensive, when available.
  14. Sorry to hear about the problems and understand. We left fulltime to be closer to Pam’s doctors 11 years ago now and sold our last RV last July. I’m a year older than you could keep going but that was not to be. Stick around and keep us updated as you are among friends.
  15. We stopped fulltime about 12 years ago and I still miss it. We just sold our last RV and the truck. We hadn’t used the Rv in 16 months and not much chance of that changing. A really sad day for me.
  16. If you are worrying about your house, you should probably move. If worried about the RV, pick better places to stay. If you have never had a problem, then why are you so afraid?
  17. CA 178 near Lake Isabella
  18. There is nothing difficult about Tehachapi Pass. CA 58 is a major highway.
  19. Are you serious? They didn't make that road so crooked just to enjoy the scenery. Tehachapi Pass has an altitude of 4,000' and the grade is only 2.2%. Walker Pass, just east of Lake Isabella is at 5,246'. I have not driven in a motorhome, only an automobile and that has been some time ago. I have driven highway 58 from Bakersfield to Barstow several times and as recently as 2022. We drove it several times with our 1999 F-53(early V10) of 36' towing a car as well as more recently with a 2003 Dodge truck towing a travel trailer. Neither was at all difficult. Here is a pretty accurate description of the highway 178 route, Take a look at each route on Google Maps and you will see that even though 178 is about 10 miles shorter, it has far more crooked roads with 35 mph speeds. It just depends on how much you enjoy mountain roads as 178 is more scenic.
  20. While 178 would be more scenic, and interesting to drive if in no hurry, it will also be much slower than 58, which I have been over some years ago. Highway 58 goes over Tehachapi Pass which is the only really mountain road part of that route and we have gone that way several times. It is an easy drive as compared to the other but possibly less scenic. Highway 58 is the main route from Bakersfield to Barstow and I-15. It is an easy drive in a motorhome as we took that route with our early Ford V10 several times.
  21. There isn't usually a fuse in that circuit but it could depend upon the exact model. Dometic Penguin units have been sold for some time now and the current model is the Penguin II. Have you tested the furnace by jumpering the two blue thermostat leads to see if the furnace starts?
  22. The federal banking laws are the same for all accounts and institutions. There are differences in how the people deal with those requirements, even between branches of the same company.
  23. While it seems possible, I suggest that you call them and ask, just to be sure. Phone: (936) 327-6806
  24. If you want to be sure you can move all of your business connections to TX and that would establish a clear connection to the intention of making it your permeant domicile. To better understand, read The Issue of Domicile or for another view, THE IMPORTANCE OF DOMICILE from a slightly different viewpoint.
