  1. I have a generator that a friend in Florida would love to have. If anybody is going south & may have room/inclination to make a few bucks pls PM me . Its about the physical size of a RV generator but heavy. TKS!

    top bunk

Accumulated condensed flatulence, happens all the time.
  3. I have stopped buying from Chewy, and told them it is because they ship FedEx. Their drivers are too lazy to bring it to my door 50ft away. Instead they leave it at my garage maybe 10 ft off the road. Big box says "CHEWY", very similar temptation to one saying "DELL". After a heated discussion with FedEx I was told their guidelines say if it makes it inside the property line, it's delivered. REALLY?? I now ask any vendor who they use, and buy elsewhere when I can.
  4. I happen to have 2 macerators I'll sell cheap, with control boxes. BUT- they are 24 VDC. Not a problem at home, just need a converter. Pm me if interested.
  5. Speaking of cameras, trucks, etc but off topic. Here in MD we have speed cameras mounted in vehicles that sit on the side of the road, not cops. The clue is a porta-pot. When you see one, there may be one of these sitting just past it, if you know what to look for. They sit there for hours at a time taking photos, driver/sitter needs a break.
  6. Can't see pipe joints- but if you put teflon tape on the threads you may have negated the anode rod. Check continuity.
  7. I put a small square LED in the upper left corner of the dash panel. Can be seen from the ground, too. I have some dash parts left over from mine, switches etc. PM me if needed.

    Newbie

Ah, nothin' like a long nose! Are you going to single it or not?
  9. I have 2 off a boat I'd love to part with- but they are 24 volt
  10. On an HDT, cut the side tank open & put in a partition. Run dyed fuel . When I hauled meat out of the midwest, we had the return line from the reefer hooked into the engine suction................................ And BIG reefer tanks
  11. Yeah, and here's the other side of the story- we live near (UGH) Baltimore, and I worked in the insurance industry as what you would call a "Reinspector". The joke was, when a major storm was approaching the coast all the tow trucks would be seen taking cars with blown engines to Ocean City...........................
  12. Posted in HDT, only interest is there. I have a 2 compartment over-driver shell I don't need. Has good pivots & 3 springs 4th not broken. Also a sunvisor for same. Anybody who can use it pick up near Baltimore or pay shpg. PM me. Do I need to add "no low balls" ??? FECES! pic too big
  13. I bought a muffin fan, wired it to come on with the compressor & blow air over the condenser coil. There's not really any "natural" convection back there
  14. Yeah, I got TERMINATED. But not for the floor thing, I made reference to a spice smell common to certain ethnicities
  15. Don't buy a truck with a hole in the floor........................
  16. I bought one that has a second input. One camera faces forward and I put the other one looking over my shoulder at the speedo
  17. A little off topic- my fiver has valves with cables to pull them. Everything discharges thru one line. Always being prepared for the worst, I bought a simple manual valve and installed it just before the exit in case one of the cables kinks, etc
  18. I spoke with the guy I drove for, he has several trucks. He says he uses www.nttsbreakdown.com & pleased. So I'm gonna' cut out the middleman & go with this, save myself a buck fifty. Tks for all the replies!
  19. I have had Progressive. At the time, the tow vehicle was not covered unless towing the trailer, i.e., as a driver while away camping. Read carefully.............
  20. Tks for the replies! I posted this in HDT, I'd like to hear from them because there are several outfits that balk. Looked at Escapees, here's what kills them for me "Regarding heavy-duty trucks: If your HDT also has sleeping quarters, it will need an additional policy. Per SafeRide’s guidelines, a vehicle with sleeping quarters is considered an RV; only one RV may be covered per policy."
  21. OK, Good Scam wants $149/yr so I looked at Escapees program. Here's a quote "Regarding heavy-duty trucks: If your HDT also has sleeping quarters, it will need an additional policy. Per SafeRide’s guidelines, a vehicle with sleeping quarters is considered an RV; only one RV may be covered per policy." So what is the HDT community getting for Roadside now?
  22. Well, GS wants $149 for a renewal coming up. I think they're out of line, who do you use now?
  23. I save all this stuff on emails between agents & me. I would email her with "here's my understanding of our conversation" and save her reply. I'm still pushing the agent to get a definition of "MDT" . That's pretty subjective, since there seems to be no direct definable correlation between that and the "class" system. Ran into this same fecus bovum when dealing with MDDMV. "Once a tractor, always a tractor" . OK, so why is a converted schoolie no longer a passenger bus?
