  1. On my 2000 635 there is an adjustment in the shaft from the slave cylinder to the clutch arm. My air clutch eliminated 90% of clutch problems.
  2. Not your fault Carl, but here's my pic
  3. Thanks on the tip. My Dometic is 2 zone, and I have to keep a flashlight next to it to read it. I even put LED bulbs in it, still sucks
  4. I have an assembly but the cover is trashed. Complete with mounting arms, guts etc approx 11 ft long white ends/arms PM me if interested for pics/price & accurate length. (BTW, these can be cut down)
  5. Aw, you guys stole the joke..................
  6. Is that the same as a Henway?
  7. "Atlas Shrugged" (Ayn Rand) Written 1957 but prescient for today.
  8. I have always been told that the oil drains out of the compressor if not upright in refrigerators. If on it's side, just wait 24 hrs after back upright to run it.
  9. Cripes, for that size I'd get a METAL baking pan from Wally.
  10. 2 answers- ask your insurer about a "stated value" policy Or, have your rig appraised by a qualified appraiser with pics, etc. In the event of a total by theft etc, you can use that to show ALL the stuff your rig had since it is unable to be appraised. Beware of policies that say "stated amount ***OR*** ACV, whichever is LESS"
  11. I changed gears in my Volvo ( AS .74 OD, 22.5's). Went to 3.08's. Little too far, should have done 3.23's. Worked out OK, I can run from 55 to 65 in 9th, cool to pass someone at 65 & shift UP
  12. Look at how it is geared vs what use you will give it

Pet Loader, not cheap but really good getting Sibes into Volvo
  14. I have a fiver/HDT combo. Size of truck is somewhat relevant, but I never want to sell a power unit I KNOW has been maintained and I TRUST every time I want new decor, more space, etc
  15. I have a couple of boat macerators I'd sell. Bad news- 24VDC, but many HD's could supply this by wiring a couple batteries series
  16. I have a PC based 12" touchscreen for sale, went to a tablet instead. Complete w/ SFF PC & Copilot. Anybody interested?

    Volvo Systems questions

OK, TWO air lines on back of cab. Blue is "service" air, for the brakes. Red is "emergency" line, which is charged only when red knob in truck is pushed in, constant air BUT WILL CUT OFF at approx 60lbs. That is why it is more properly called a "breakaway" valve, in case you lose the trailer. It will cut off while you are using whatever when it hits 60lbs, you will have to go into the cab to reset it. If you don't REALLY understand a truck's air system, I suggest you NOT MESS W/IT until you do, it is a real safety issue..
  18. Yeah, even if the addressee bears NO RESEMBLANCE to the delivery.
  19. Get a roll of 2" blue tape, start taping all the joints near the area, drive it & see if it stops. Another option on the front door- spray silicone on the metal ( i say metal, meaning the door frame or the door shell, whichever does NOT have weatherstrip). Close the door, open it & look for shine on the weatherstrip indicating a seal. If you see no shine on spots, there is no contact. Remember, the noise could be coming from an outside source, like the mirror or arms. The RV repair near me has a big fan in a board for leaks. They mount it in the doorway, turn it on & spray soapy water on suspected leaks. Maybe that would work. Cheap solution- get ear buds.................

    Onboard air

Glad hand is fine, but it will pop at 60 & you have to reset it. Plumb to tank is better.
  21. How about this? PRIVATIZE it, fire everybody & let them re-apply for their jobs. At least then you'd be able to fire a slug without 50 reams of justification.
  22. I have several spares. I can look for part #'s on them this AM, pm me pls if you want the #'s
  23. Yeah, that was before they got smart & dyed the fuel. Thinking back, I could have saved a lot of labor just running the return line to the truck's tank, had V12 Detroits.
