  1. I googled and found that it's not about driveoffs, it's about CC companies and their concern about 'problem transactions' and not knowing the size of the purchase beforehand.
  2. Because if it goes on Youtube under 'How not to...' it may help someone else.
  3. I use Dri-z-air in the RV (calcium ..something) and it definitely removes moisture into the drip pan. If cat litter did that it would be quite a mess. Besides, like I said, those packets at Wally's are very cheap. Unless you just like DIY stuff, you aren't saving much money at all, if any.
  4. I'm not sure cat litter is much of a desiccant. The only time it absorbs moisture is when she pees in it. Silica gel packs at Walmart are very cheap.
  5. Although everyone asks about running air on gen, in my many years of dry camping I find I'm usually the only one doing that. Most folks just leave for the day, or sweat it out. It becomes a hassle getting gas when you're not near a filling station, and you'll need lots of it.
  6. Check this thread for 4 years ago.
  7. Do you regularly view your pictures and delete what isn't good? Perhaps you're just storing way too much stuff.
  8. It never ceases to amaze me how people can be so dishonest.. lie to you with a smile in their voice.
  9. Paper mail is so 20th century and a big pita. So are medical bills, which I try to pay on the spot, but you never know what comes later.
  10. Yes, I paid over $100 for a campsite. 20 years ago at Newport Beach CA.
  11. But you will still be responsible for the taxes April 15.
  12. This tutorial helped me a great deal when first starting out. 12v side of life.
  13. No, it won't be adequate. You need something in at least the 60 amp range.
  14. It's ok in terms of your health and finances, right now, but I wouldn't plan on staying out of the work force more than about 3 years. It's not always easy getting back in, and for sure you're going to want a substantial nest egg when you're 65. Being old and broke is not something you want to even think about.
  15. And OP's didn't work in Oklahoma. I'd consider a weather radio a device of last resort. In probably 99% of cases your phone will do the job.
  16. Don't concern yourself with safety close to Mx. That's just a lot of hype.
  17. Perhaps this other dicussion will help: http://www.rvforum.net/SMF_forum/index.php?topic=67840.0
  18. Given the volume they do, and by humans, yes they do a good job. The part that bothers me is how backward it is to be transporting pieces of paper around the country. Nobody is interested in the piece of paper, just the information printed on it.
  19. I've had my mail delivered by a neighbor almost as much as the carrier. Especially when the regular carrier is out sick.
  20. Carlos, I'll give it a go: I dropped over 300lb going to Li. I can charge this baby at 34 amps, that's the equivalent of 132 amps @ 12v. There's no long absorb phase. There's no harm in sitting undercharged. I never have to water. I never get corrosion. At age 70 these are the last batteries I will ever buy - I seriously doubt I'll be alive in 30 years. And, the best part is, I can afford it.
  21. Li's (the ones I'm familiar with) don't have an absorb phase.. make sure your converter does that. Yes, you get what you pay for is very true. Congrats on getting an Li.. I have one and it's wonderful.
  22. People often mention the availability of Honda parts. It's extremely unlikely you'll ever need them. And the comparative word is "than", not "then."
