  1. That would be it. Perhaps they aren't, I mean ain't, scared 'o nothin' they cain't see.
  2. I was afraid that was the answer. Yuck.
  3. Pictures are quite the challenge on here. How do you make them appear smaller?
  4. It's amp hours, and if at all possible get the AGM. That said, that's a bit light on the amp-hours. If that's the only AGMs he has, shop around (online perhaps) and get bigger ones. You really want to be in the 200+ amp-hr range. You'll thank yourself later for more up-front cost you don't have to worry about corrosion or watering. If you really have some bucks, Lithium is wonderful.
  5. Many J's have a water spigot at the end of each fuel aisle.
  6. I deleted cookies due to a problem with another site.. big mistake. Facebook got totally messed up. I inadvertently created a duplicate account, now I can't deactivate it or delete it - it tries to delete the good account I want to keep. And getting ahold of anyone at FB is, so far, impossible.
  7. Tripled up a new eu2200 with a couple older 2000s. Works fine. The best part is I can run the microwave and the air at the same time with virtually no power sag. Two 2000s won't handle it.
  8. Creative writing, but your point is lost.
  9. I used to have a support, but it just kept falling over. Anyway, after a few years of getting sick of RV parks, I never used it so I tossed it. When I'm hooked up I connect and dump as needed. Yes, I have to walk the hose to drain it.
  10. You don't have to mess with supporting your sewer hose off the ground. I guess I prefer not to let things dry up in there.
  11. Why? Don't they get the news there?
  12. Mask -wearing at walmart was about 98% today. A month ago maybe 60%. So yay!
  13. x2. It's not a great idea to leave your valves open, especially black.
  14. I run air for my cat on the road when it's real hot outside. Also just bit of cooldown at bedtime when the gens are off. Breaker for HW is always off. I also use mine as uninterruptible to keep the DTV receiver on 24/7. Yes, you must pay more attention with a whole house inverter. Just depends on your needs.
  15. Right at Rufus there's free camping with almost no train noise just west of the John Day Dam. Also camping closer to the river farther west toward the grain elevator.
  16. Yes, getting a flat bottom is the main advantage of a real trencher. I looked at renting, but the ones in this town are huge, and I have some tight spaces. The Home Depot doesn't rent here. Besides, I like the idea of having my own tool without having to be under a deadline to return an item. This was a pretty expensive little trencher, so I'm gonna do my best to make it work. I have a winch coming soon. I won't be doing any more hand-pulling this thing. It's about 240lb - well in excess of me.
  17. I'm starting to think a backhoe might be a better choice.
  18. I'm hoping a winch pull will result in a straighter line. We'll see!
  19. No, it's just more in-your-face now with the internet and certain political influences. I remember people didn't want to wear seat belts, didn't want to stop smoking, Kennedy was shot by the mob, 9/11 was an inside job...the list is long. Conspiracies have always been popular, and virtually never true.
  20. I'm using a small Brave trenching machine, but I have to maneuver it - it's not self-propelled. It's darn heavy and really hard on my back. I was thinking of pulling it with a winch. Anyone have any thoughts on that?
  21. Well, it's the Federal Government, so with any luck it will still be a hoax and will be open this fall. That's sarcasm.
  22. As I remember it, you didn't even want to be in the same room with someone with HIV. It ended up being sexually transmitted. There were some pretty crazy, out-there ideas about that disease.
