  1. Tolls on 95 south, one in Delaware, then the Scott Key Bridge on the east side of 695, you can go the west side with no tolls, but the traffic is crazy (just came that way Monday) and a bit longer

    Elkhart Indiana

Another vote for Rise n Roll, Southside Soda shop is great but only street parking there. I would recommend The Blue Gate for a very good dinner and plenty of parking across the street.
  3. We just came across I-70 East -West this past weekend and we can vouch it was COLD the whole way from Colorado, now down around Trinidad off of I-25 we did hit highs in the upper 60's but not for long. I agree head as far south as possible. We came from Taos New Mexico to Delaware, also winds were heavy thru Kansas
  4. So sorry for your loss, I also remembering reading many of his posts and sure gained valuable information thru them.
  5. It looks brand new, not sure of the town name, it was foggy on our return trip and snuck up on me, I was lucky to just get the exit number. Looked fine for a overnight stop but sure it will be noisy as it is close to the road and eastbound exit.
  6. Coming home today I saw this Loves with a small campground behind it, it was at exit 275 on the eastbound side. It looked fenced in but was directly behind the Loves.
  7. Just did our registration!!!!

    Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all, we are visiting our son in Taos New Mexico (without the rv) and getting ready to take advantage of the incoming snowstorm, headed skiing today. Hope everyone has a great holiday season and safe travels.
  9. Yes we did it was around $8,500, much cheaper than paint. That would have been swirled to match the camper, I was just afraid on how long it holds up.
  10. We just drove west from Delaware and in either Mo. or Co we saw a truck stop on the eastbound side of I-70 with brand new pull thru sites behind it, not sure what truck stop, will have to check on our return trip in January. Looked good but close to the highway.
  11. Thanks, we do plan to shop around, the place we got the quote from was a friend of a friend deal so you know how that can be. They also do a lot of hot rods so some of those folks don't care
  12. I just got a quote to have our truck painted 2 toned with most parts removed and painted except the cab and was around $22,000, guess we will live with the faded gray for a while.
  13. We would be glad to donate 25% for the cause, after all if it was not for this group we would not have what we have now.
  14. Well good news, we got our call and have a site for the rally so heads up for anyone else on the wait list.
  15. Carl thanks for the update, will be waiting to hear from them.
  16. Carl, have you spoke to the campground yet? I know we are still waiting to hear back from them about getting a site and sure some others are as well.
  17. Randy, are you planning on also attending the Cedar Creek Club rally in Pigeon Forge 2 weeks later, I know we are and I believe Charlie is as well..
  18. We have our March-April-May trip all planned out and most reservations booked up until the ECR so now just waiting to find out if we get moved from the wait list to a reserved site, (Fingers Crossed)

    TSLB Damage

Funny yours looks almost like the one a friend has on his Volvo when he bought it and with the same crushed areas 🙄
  20. Thanks Carl, we know you have no control over it plus with the new owners I am sure new challenges are there as well. They did let me know we would not hear anything until probably early next year. Thanks again
  21. Hope the campground figures out (If) how many sites are open, we hope to attend and friends do also which we are both on the wait list. Just trying to plan our spring travels seeing places are so packed just trying to secure locations. I have not been in a few years and this will be the first time for the wife.
  22. Wish you were on the east coast, really would like to have solar eventually for when we head west to camp more seeing the wife has finally retired.
  23. I knew a guy who drove for a New York newspaper company that when he retired he moved to the beach area of De. and between insurance ( car & home) and property taxes he said it was the LARGEST raise he ever got in his whole career.
