Cotreker
I have been using this exhaust flex piping and not happy with how quickly it will rust out. Mine is not the high end stainless. Can I coat my new piece with some material to make it last longer? Maybe even high temp Black paint. Anyone got any great ideas. My pipe lasted about 4 to 5 years. At least I keep this spare pipe over the years. Location from the muffler to hard pipe about 32". ddm502001
By the time you buy two or three lengths of that and replaced the stretched out clamps will be money ahead buying the SS, Coating will do no more than allow the ring segments to rust inside the crimps and still fail. Been installing Flex since the 70s.
Cotreker
Good point ddm, where do I purchase the SS pipe? Is it harder to work with. I purchased this pipe in picture from NAPA years ago in a 10' section. Thanks for your suggestions.
