Chad Heiser
That is a known issue with the Multiplus II inverters, as you found with the post on Victron community. I have yet to experience the problem though. It has been a while since I have seen anyone post about it. I thought maybe Victron corrected the issue. Apparently not. Lou Schneider
Sounds more like a hardware problem than a software bug. Most 1/8" jacks have a set of contacts that signal whether or not something is inserted into the jack. That's how your phone or PC knows to mute the speakers when you plug your headphones into the jack. Most likely these contacts on the Multiplus' Current Sense jack get dirty over time, triggering the Multiplus and Touch 50 to display the (non-existent) signals on the jack instead of what's it sees on it's internal sensors. Inserting something into the 1/8' jack exercises these contacts, making them work for a while until the dirt or corrosion returns. Bill Joyce
Reminds me of an experience from a National RV Owners rally when we owned a Dolphin around 2002. One National RV tech was asking anyone if they had the dashboard lights dim occasionally. He cleaned the contacts on the trailer (tow car) connector for those who had the problem. He said it took him days to find the problem the first time, Quote 2004 40' Newmar Dutch Star DP towing an AWD 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid, Fulltimer July 2003 to October 2018, Parttimer now.
