trostberg
I drove by an area a few miles west of the Ben Avery shooting range where there were RVs parked on what I assume is BLM land. How do I know that this is BLM land and is there any permit required if you just stay a night. I have not done BLM camping since many areas have rough roads. This was right off the highway. I do not see it on the online BLM map
Twotoes
I believe that the area you are describing is the camp ground attached to the Ben Avery Shooting Center and is not BLM land. Go on Ben Averys website and you will see more info Quote 2015 Itasca Ellipse 42QD 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Hard Rock Edition 2021 Harley Street Glide Special Fulltimer

trostberg
The area I saw was closer to the Pleasant Valley Airport on the north side of the highway. Just dirt with about 5 RVs scattered
justRich
That area will probably be developed in the near future. Taiwan Semiconductor just purchased a huge chunk of land on the southside of that area: Source: https://www.bizjournals.com/phoenix/news/2020/12/09/taiwan-semiconductor-buys-north-phoenix-land.html?fbclid=IwAR2UZqICvLTM_gHsY27Jj39gRri7d7YoQC_fKbox5YFy_MWiJatWg1gLtgk Quote ~Rich
Darryl&Rita
I think I know the area that OP is talking about, it's quite a bit further west. We travel Lake Pleasant highway spring and fall, as we come and go snowbirding. I've seen RV's parked on the north side of the highway, but never stopped to ask anyone.
