I haven't tried my phone with Starlink, but it works fine with cell signals with much higher ping times and much slower speeds. I expect Starlink would work quite well also...

Has anybody tried using their phone using StarLink wifi??

I have not.  But Subaru's advertising seems to indicate they're not concerned.  Also, Starlink's latency is much less than 3G was.

Subaru Starlink uses AT&T's cell service and the Sirius XM Connected Vehicle Services. It is not the same as the SpaceX/Starlink LEO satellite Internet service that's just starting public beta testing.

You are right.  It appears I mistook STARLINK for Starlink.

However, for the original question, Starlink's latency appears to be much less that 3G phones.  So if those worked for you. Starlink likely will too.

Yeah, it can be confusing. And I agree, with Starlink's low latency, I wouldn't expect any problems with a relatively low bandwidth protocol like VOIP.

Is it unlimited data?

Right now it is in beta testing. Who knows what it will be when it is available to the public for purchase.
