Bear Spray Across US/CN Border

Recommended Posts

We chose to take this summer off from Yellowstone and travel to Alaska.  Still hoping the US/Canada border opens so we can head up.
When we are in bear country we each have two cans of bear spray.   I know we can take properly labeled bear spray across the border but I have not seen guidelines on how many canisters one can take across.  Anyone have input on this?

The richest are not those who have the most, but those who need the least.

Straight from the horse's mouth, CBSA. The link is to a PDF, with bear spray being covered on page 11 &12.

I have been wrong before, I'll probably be wrong again.

Call Canada Border Services  to get the correct current information. I read that CBSA pdf, it does not specify a maximum amount.

Current closure is thru June 12.  Reports are you may only stop for fuel at Pay At Pump and get food at Drive Thrus.  No RV parks. No Stores.  No deviation from direct route.  Yukon is transit in 24 hours.  Upon entering Alaska, a 14 day quarantine.
