Myrtle Beach Camping World

Why in the world is Camping World accepting these sub-par units in the first place? Are they incapable of quality control prior to their floor-planning these units? When we purchased our new Tiffin Phaeton a few years ago, we found very few quality control problems at delivery and refused to write that final check until all those items were corrected.  They wanted our money, so they got right on those repairs. Tiffin used over-night shipping to enable parts delivery. We just spent a couple of days in our trade in unit, watching for proper repairs.

Looks like another buyer who didnt do their due diligence.

I think Camping World brings in newbies who don't yet know how to inspect an RV or even that they need to do such a thing. If all you've ever bought are cars you may not know that RVs don't come with the same standards of quality required by the NHTSA for automobiles.

I have a friend that is a fulltimer that purchased a brand new Thor Ace from Camping World in Rapid City SD a couple of years ago. She had multiple problems with it. Took it back to CW in Rapid City and several other CW locations as well as other Thor dealers at least a dozen times in the first year of ownership. She even contacted Thor’s regional manager, but it was still an ongoing nightmare. She finally had to get a lawyer to contact Thor’s legal department. Thor would still not take the unit back as a lemon but did get involved with CW to get the issues resolved. Not sure if she ever got everything fixed.

If manufacturers didnt make such junk, there wouldnt be as many complaints about dealers. whether it be Camping World or any other dealer.
