Dash cams. What do you use or recommend?

We have been using this one for years:

https://www.amazon.com/Black-Box-G1W-H-Hidden-Dash/dp/B00HMNFWYW/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1539004488&sr=8-4&keywords=black+box+dash+cam+g1w

We keep the audio off as we are concerned about making a comment "look at that stupid idiot" and then getitng hit by that stupid idiot. Better not to have that recorded. We only use the dash cam to protect ourselves, not for recording a trip. We also like the price point.

I use the Vicovation Opia2 on all but one of our vehicles (the other is an older Vicovation Marcus 4). The downside is that the GPS module is a separate purchase and the parking mode is enabled with a secondary hardware solution that must be purchased. The upside is that the video is great, the parking mode can be set for time lapse or motion with different settings for each and the parking mode system will monitor battery voltage and shut down the cam when the voltage gets below your setpoint.

I encourage everyone to have a dash cam as just one incident where you can prove what happened will pay for them.

https://dashcamtalk.com/ is a good place to get information.  In the RV I use a G1W, much like SWharton's.  Last winter I bought a Spytec (viofo) A119 with GPS for the car when my other G1W died.  The G1W does the job, but the A119 is higher resolution.
